Henry Smith Trust – Changes to Holiday Grants programme

Grants of up to £2500 for recreational trips for groups of children aged 13 and under in the UK who are disabled or disadvantaged. The Trust has made temporary changes this year due to impacts from the pandemic. Day trips rather than residential holidays will now be funded.

DfC – Small Capital Grants Scheme 2020/21

A £950,000 Fund is available for partnerships of grassroots voluntary and community organisations across Northern Ireland to purchase items of equipment that will enhance the activities and services they provide to the local community. Applications must include a minimum of 2 organisations.

Solace Women's Aid: Empowering Women Fund

Part of the Labyrinth Project, (a Tampon Tax funded grant scheme) led by Solace Women’s Aid. Aims to help women get to an empowered position through the provision of holistic wide-ranging support that is needs-led, placing women at the centre of their own interventions. Seed funding available from £500 to £1,000, small grants from £1,000 to £5,000 and large grants from £5,000 to £25,000.

Since 2016 the scheme (managed by Groundwork UK) has supported over 36,000 charities and community groups with more than £85million in grants for local community projects across the UK, helping to fight holiday hunger, tackle mental health, support young people, host community events etc.

Greenhall Foundation

Funding to sustainably improve lives: among the sick, the elderly, the disabled and the disadvantaged particularly in the UK. Overseas projects are also supported provided that the applicant charity is registered in the UK. Preference is given to appeals where the Foundation can meet a significant proportion of the funding required and where permanent equipment or building is required as opposed to funding salaries or the charity running costs.

The Community Foundation for NI is partnering with Community Foundation for Ireland for a new and exciting All Island fund. To find out more about this fund they are inviting you to attend a special VitalTalks on this new fund at 1 pm on Thursday 1st April 2021.

Arnold Clark Community Fund (Final Application Deadline 11.59pm, 31st May 2021

Now open to all UK registered charities and local community groups needing financial assistance due to the coronavirus pandemic. Requests can be made for £100 - £1000. 500 applications will be granted (at random) each month. If your application is unsuccessful one month, they’ll keep you in the draw, which will roll over to the following month.

A grants programme run by the British Science Association and funded by Wellcome, to enable the UK public to develop and try out ideas that address problems related to mental wellbeing. They're offering early stage grants of up to £25,000 and larger grants of around £90,000 in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, Hull, North West Northern Ireland, and Oldham.

The Swimathon Foundation has opened a second Covid-19 Relief Fund to again offer grants of £250 to £1,000 to small swimming and aquatic organisations experiencing continued financial hardship from the effects of Covid-19, especially where access to financial support has not been available.

Causeway Coast and Glens District Council: COVID-19 Community Support Fund

Department for Communities funded, the COVID-19 Community Support Fund is to provide small grants to local community and voluntary organisations to deal with emerging issues in local communities as a result of the continuing threat of coronavirus. Local community/voluntary sector organisations can apply for grants of up to 100% of costs up to £4,000.
