Funding news this week

New grants from Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council for Arts and Community Facilities

  • Community Facilities Fund supports minor capital works, repairs and/or implementation of digital solutions to enable groups and organisations to improve income opportunities, make changes to the facility use and/or make the facility more accessible and inclusive to further engage the local community. Grants between £5000 and £10000.
  • ISLAND Arts Centre is offering three funding opportunities to support the arts sector in the Lisburn Castlereagh community with grants of up to £1500 or up to £3000.  

 

Genetic Disorders UK’s Jeans for Genes now offering one-off grants up to £2,500

Funding aims to support disorder specific charities as they adapt, respond and recover from the affects of the Coronavirus pandemic by awarding one-off unrestricted grants of £2,500. Open to applications from 1 July until 12 August 2021.

Online Q&A sessions for interested applicants arranged for:

  • Tuesday 6th July: 10:30am – 11:30am
  • Tuesday 13th July: 1:30pm – 2:30pm

The Volant Trust: COVID-19 Response Fund accepting applications until 31st July 2021

The Volant Trust accepts applications from charities in the UK and internationally that demonstrate a strong focus on alleviating social deprivation and helping vulnerable groups who have been particularly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Applications for medical equipment and the production or distribution of PPE will also be considered.

 

Department of Education: Childcare Support Fund open

Administered by Early Years, two funding streams available for childcare providers within this programme; The Covid-19 related Temporary Closure Fund and The Sustainability Fund. Funding based on the type and/or size of provision – see website for more details. 

 

Community Foundation NI: Housing and Homelessness fund information session

The Housing and Homelessness Innovation & Voice Fund is to support new or improved solutions to some of the root causes of housing issues and homelessness in Northern Ireland. An initial round of up to 8 grants in the range £15,000 to £25,000 will be made to voluntary, community or social enterprise organisations addressing these issues.  An information session is being held on Tuesday 29 June, 2021 at 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM. Upcoming deadlines

Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council

Funding available for eligible groups in the community, voluntary and social enterprise sector covering running costs, programmes and events.

Closing date: Friday 2 July 2021.

 

The Big Give: Christmas Challenge

The Big Give runs the UK’s biggest match funding campaign, The Christmas Challenge offering participating charities the chance to double their donation from pledges collected over the summer.

Closing date: Submit Stage 1 Application by 5pm Friday 2nd July 2021

 

Office for Civil Society: Tampon Tax Fund

The Tampon Tax Fund allocates funds generated from the VAT on sanitary products to projects to improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls. They will consider applications for £350,000 or more.

Closing date: Sunday 4th July at midnight

 

Aughrim Landfill Programme

This Programme is a partnership between Aughrim Landfill Ltd and Groundwork NI where Landfill Tax Credit Funding from the Aughrim landfill site (outskirts of Lisburn) is allocated to support projects working in the conservation, promotion of biodiversity projects, and protection of social environment.  Grants from £5,000 to £10,000 are available.

Closing date: Monday 5 July at 12pm (noon)
