Music for All’s new funding round open for communities and individuals

Music for All will be offering support in five very distinct areas: 1) Projects which are based on electric guitars and/or ukuleles; 2) Projects that require analogue synthesisers; 3) David Hughes piano or keyboard award, to support the progress of a piano or keyboard player; 4) Projects based on innovation in remote music tuition; and 5) Community choirs that require support.

Nationwide Building Society’s Mutual Respect Grant offering £1000

As part of their partnership with Football Associations across the UK, Nationwide has donated £50,000 to help grassroot football teams build mutual respect on and off the pitch. 50 clubs will be chosen to receive a grant of £1000 each. 

National Churches Trust: Cornerstone Grants support capital project costs

The Cornerstone Grant Programme can award grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 urgent structural repair projects or the introduction of kitchens and accessible toilets.

mPower Community Fund’s grants for South Down, Newry City and South Armagh

The Southern Health Trust, through support from the mPower Communities Fund offering grants for Community and Voluntary Organisations wanting to make adjustments to indoor or outdoor spaces for COVID safe activities with people aged 65+. Grants ranging from £2,500 to £8,500.

BBC Children in Need Small Grants opens 16 August

The Small Grants programmes are for not-for-profit organisations applying for grants of up to three years, up to £10,000 per year.

Alzheimer’s Research UK: Inspire Fund

The Inspire Fund provides funding for projects that engage the public with dementia and the life-changing research going on into the condition. Funding tiers are Bronze up to £5,000, Silver up to £15,000, and Gold up to £25,000.

Expression of Interest deadline: 5 August 2021

Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust – Northern Ireland

The Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust aims to fund work which will contribute to the ongoing transformation of the Northern Ireland conflict. 

Registration Deadline: 6 August 2021 at 5pm

Frugi’s Happy Childhood Fund

Every year Frugi donate 1% of their turnover to charity through their Little Clothes BIG Change charity project. They aim to improve the lives of children living in poverty in the UK through three pillars – Hunger, Shelter and Nature & Outdoor Spaces. This month’s they’re looking for charities who fit into the Hunger pillar.

Closing date: 6 August 2021 at 12pm (noon) 

The Henry Smith Charity - Holiday Grants for Children

The Programme funds for recreational trips or holidays for groups of children who experience disadvantage or who have disabilities. Given the impact of Covid-19, they have made some temporary changes to their guidelines to fund day trips including multi-trips rather than residential holidays.

Closing date: 13 August 2021
