NHSBT: The Living Kidney Transplant Scheme

This NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) scheme will fund community and faith and beliefs organisations to positively engage Black, Asian, Mixed Race and minority ethnic communities in living kidney donation as well as applicants that are focused on addressing health literacy and other capability barriers across the general population to move towards greater health equity for all.

Tourism Industry Scheme: Experience Development Programme 2021-23

This Department for the Economy funded programme aims to improve the range and quality of experiences throughout Northern Ireland in line with their experience brand – Northern Ireland Embrace a Giant Spirit and will focus on attractions, and other experience providers.  Expression of Interest deadline is 3pm on 6th September 2021.

Department of Justice: Assets Recovery Community Scheme (ARCS)

The ARCS fund is managed by the Department of Justice Protection and Organised Crime Division (POCD) to distribute funding to a wide range of projects that aim to prevent crime, reduce the fear of crime and contribute to safer communities across Northern Ireland.

National Churches Trust: Grants for Northern Ireland

National Churches Trust' s Treasure Ireland project provides a Community Grants Programme which offers your church or chapel funding of between £500 and £10,000 for church maintenance or urgent repair work.

Asda Foundation: Bringing Communities Back Together Phase 2 opens

The Asda Foundation’s grant to reunite communities, celebrate togetherness, and support groups as Coronavirus restrictions begin to ease across the UK opens Phase 2 from 1st September 2021.

 

NEWS - Important information for charities and fundraisers

On 26th August 2021, Virgin Money Giving announced they have made the decision to close Virgin Money Giving (VMG) later this year. A subsidiary of Virgin Money, VMG was created 12 years ago when Virgin Money began its sponsorship of the London Marathon. This year the sponsorship comes to an end. As a result VMG will stop operating on 30 November 2021 following the race in October.

Upcoming deadlines

Wolfson Foundation: Science & Medicine

Under the Science & Medicine programme, this funding is generally awarded towards new buildings, refurbishment work and equipment to improve public engagement with science though the history of science. Minimum grant amount is £15,000.

Next deadline 1st September 2021

National VCSE Grant Scheme

The National VCSE grant scheme will support projects in line with the high-level outcomes of the Hong Kong UK Welcome Programme. The programme will ensure positive outcomes for central and local government, resident communities and BN(O) status holders.

Application deadline is 23:59 on 1st September 2021

The Honourable The Irish Society: County Londonderry Fund

The Society’s traditional programme open to community groups, clubs and associations or individuals across County Londonderry awarding grants of up to £1,000 to applicants from across the entire County or close neighbouring areas (including any town/village within the Causeway Coast & Glen Borough Council area.

Chemistry Week 2021

Chemistry Week is an annual celebration of the chemical sciences. This year, to coincide with the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) being held in Glasgow on 1-12 November 2021, the RSC are extending the annual Chemistry Week to last for the full 12 days of the Conference. Up to £750 for engaging chemistry activities with the public focusing on sustainability for members and non-members (latter apply through RSC Outreach Fund).
