Department for Communities (Via CFNI): COVID-19 Culture, Language, Arts and Heritage Support Programme (Opening 2nd November)

A £2m support fund from The Department for Communities (DfC) to address the ongoing pressures on the Arts, Culture, Heritage and Disability sectors due to COVID-19, as well as provide support renewal and new ways for arts and culture to engage and benefit grassroots communities, and those with disabilities.

Funding to help small and medium sized BAME groups and their communities build wellbeing, resilience and capacity following the pandemic. 3 grant sizes, up to £5000, up to £10,000 and micro grants of between £500 to £1000.

COVID Social Enterprise Fund (Opening for Applications 28th September)

As a direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this fund aims to distribute £7m of grant funds over the coming months and is designed to support social enterprises as they seek to stabilise and manage cashflow during this difficult period. The Fund will be managed by Community Finance Ireland (CFI) and provide grants of up to £75,000.

TESCO: Bags of Help COVID-19 Communities Fund (Changes Planned Post September 2020)

During the last 6 months, Tesco put aside £4 Million to support 8000 local good causes through their Bags of Help COVID-19 Communities Fund, which provided single payment weekly awards of £500 to groups across the UK.

This Week's New COVID-19 Funds

True Colours: Small Grants UK COVID 19 support (Deadline 5pm, 21st September)

Through the Small Grants UK Covid-19 Support programme, funding of up to £5,000 will now be available to help smaller charities to adapt their services to enable them to continue or resume supporting disabled children, children with life limiting conditions and their families during the pandemic.

The Movement for Good awards is an online nomination scheme programme designed to give £1million to charities. The aim is to put their giving directly into the hands of remarkable organisations (like yours perhaps) that are changing people’s lives for the better. 10 charities will be awarded £50,000.

The National Lottery Community Fund: The Emerging Futures Fund

The National Lottery Community Fund want to find out how to help communities move towards recovery and renewal after the impact of COVID-19 and draw on all the creativity they’ve seen in communities and across civil society. So they’re funding organisations to look at how things are changing, what is needed in this transition, and what is possible in the future. Funding of between £20,000 - £50,000 is available.

The National Lottery Fund: COVID-19 Charities Fund

TNL Community Fund are distributing the COVID-19 Charities Fund with a grant from the Northern Ireland Department for Communities. This funding programme will provide financial support of up to £75,000 to charities who have lost income due to the impact of COVID-19 and are not able to cover unavoidable costs until 30 September 2020.
