Funding news this week

Architectural Heritage Fund focuses on villages

Seed funding for village revival projects in Northern Ireland now available. Keen to hear from charities or social enterprises based in villages who are interested in finding long-term uses for empty historic buildings (listed or in conservation areas) which target rural poverty and social isolation, grants of up to £20,000 available.

National Lottery Community Fund: The Platinum Jubilee Fund

The Platinum Jubilee celebrates 70 years of Her Majesty The Queen’s reign and to mark this occasion, The National Lottery Community Fund will fund 70 projects across the UK. This is a significant National moment, and they are looking for projects that go beyond simply celebrating but for those that create change for communities. Closes 5pm on 15th December 2021.

Ecclesiastical Insurance: 12 Days of Giving

An online nomination scheme from Ecclesiastical Insurance offering a £1,000 donation to 120 charities from 6th to 21st December. The closing date and time for submitting a nomination for each draw is 12.00 midnight the day before each draw. Draws take place each weekday from Monday 6th December until Friday 21st December. 

Carbon Innovation Fund

The Coop Foundation is offering funding of between £75,000 - £100,000 to support work in the food and farming sector which reduces the emissions of greenhouse gases into our atmosphere. They are looking for innovative projects, movements, or inventions which not only deliver an environmental good, but also contribute to real systems change, and can demonstrate a positive impact for people and communities too. Opens 22nd November 2021.

Pitch to Piers Competition from Moblox

Moblox is a company supporting small business to navigate and achieve using technology. Their Pitch to Piers competition aims to raise the awareness of small businesses and is giving away £10,000 to support one winning business including social enterprises. Moblox’s CEO is former Dragons Den investor Piers Linney.

Armed Forces Day Grant – 25th June 2022

Grants are available to help organisations and individuals in the UK to host an Armed Forces Day event which can take place within two weeks of the Armed Forces Day event. Grants up to £10,000 provided that Ministry of Defence funding is no more than 50% of the total cost.

NTR Funds for Northern Ireland

Funding for community and voluntary initiatives near Altaveedan Wind Farm, Co Antrim, Castlecraig Wind Farm, Co Tyrone, and Ora More Wind Farm, Co Fermanagh.

Closes 26 November 2021.

Community Relations Council: Media Grant Scheme

The Media Grant Scheme supports a range of media products including digital content projects, infographics, television, radio, video and podcasts. In addition to CRC funding of up to £15,000, Northern Ireland Screen will  contribute up to £7,500 Lottery Funding provided through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland towards the costs of professional mentoring support. This is an opportunity to produce a factual short film of up to 15 minutes which addresses a community relations issue or theme

Closes 4pm on 26 November 2021.

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Technical Assistance and Feasibility Fund

The Technical Assistance and Feasibility Fund aims to help community organisations with the cost of researching their proposed idea to see if it is viable and sustainable.

Closes 29 November 2021.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council: COVID Recovery Support Programme for Tourism & Arts Events

The fund will support tourism event organisers, groups and artists to engage with visitors, communities and audiences through events, productions and performances hosted outdoors or in suitable venues (where Government regulations permit). This call is open to both the private, public and voluntary and community sector.

Closes 12pm(noon) on 29th November 2021.
