The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland has launched the Acorn Flood Fund to assist with the severe impact of summer flooding on the lives of people living in the North West. They will support eligible groups for this emergency funding with grants of between £1000 up to a maximum of £2500.

Managed by Omagh Forum, this fund was established by ESB to help the communities neighbouring the wind farm to become more sustainable through supporting local initiatives and activities. Applicants must be within a 7.5km radius of Hunters Hill Wind Farm, Fintona and the typical award value is between £500 and £5000.

Westhill offers financial investment and other resources to support formal and informal religious education projects and faith-motivated activities that enable people to transform their lives and the life of their communities. Since 2004 Westhill has invested grants totalling more than £3.6 million in 400 projects, mainly in the UK but with some international impact as well. Grants are revenue only and most grants from Westhill are between £2,500 and £10,000.
