New or Updated Funding Initiatives

NEW! The ARN Foundation

The ARN Foundation is a new independent Trust supporting NI organisations.  Their new fund, managed by the Community Foundation for NI (CFNI) offers grants of up to £10,000 to NI projects which support people with a learning disability (with priority for 18-25 year olds.)

NEW! Heritage Lottery Fund: Great Place Scheme

In Northern Ireland the new Great Place Scheme is a pilot scheme offering £100,000 to £500,000 for just 2-4 cultural and heritage projects across NI which enable heritage and cultural organisations to change how they work together, and with organisations in other places, to allow heritage and culture to contribute more to meeting local environmental, economic and social aspirations.  (The scheme is UK-wide with some pilot projects in England already chosen).

Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) Grants

Each year the ICO grants programme makes awards of between £20,000 and £100,000 to support independent research into privacy and data protection issues and develop privacy enhancing solutions.  The programme is open to academic institutions, civil society groups, trade and industry associations and any organisation with a genuine commitment to public benefit outcomes.

Causeway Coast and Glens District: Social Inclusion Fund

The ‘Social Inclusion’ grant programme provides small grants of up to £500 for local community and voluntary organisations that are involved in activities that encourage people within their community, particularly those that are socially excluded, to participate in social and recreational activities.

Downtown and Cool FM Cash for Kids

Every year Cash for Kids distributes funds it has raised to assist in promoting the social, physical and mental wellbeing of children and young people throughout NI, with a focus on improving quality of life as well as encouraging personal development and aspirational fulfilment.  Grants don’t normally exceed £3,000.
