Peter Harrison Foundation: Opportunities Through Sport

The Foundation supports sporting activities or projects which provide opportunities for people who are disabled or otherwise disadvantaged to fulfil their potential and to develop other personal and life skills.  Applicants need to be a registered charity or a CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club).

Community Foundation for NI: Pressure Group Fund

The Pressure Group Fund provides grants for groups and people who are working towards supporting social change through direct civic action, lobbying and engagement.  Up to £500 of initial investment is available with the possibility of a further £500.

Idlewild Trust

Idlewild Trust is an independent grant-making trust that runs two grants programmes supporting specific areas within conservation and the arts.  Idlewild Trust awards grants of up to £5,000 and in 2015 awarded 48 grants totalling £143,800, an average of nearly £3,000.

Mid and East Antrim Council: Community Festivals Fund

This Fund provides grants for Community Festivals in the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council area.  Its primary purpose is to improve the capacity of community festivals and make them less reliant on public funding by providing support and training in addition to funding towards the cost of festivals.

Community Relations Council: Media Grant Scheme

The Media Grant Scheme supports a range of media products including digital content projects, infographics, television, radio, video and podcasts.   This year’s aim is to commission media projects which focus on the engagement of civil society to underpin the peace process and/or support the development of a more diverse society and support the TBUC strategy.  Most grants will be between £5,000 and £10,000.

M&S Energy: Community Energy Fund

The M&S Energy Community Energy Fund supports renewable energy projects and technologies across the UK.  For 2017/2018 £300,000 is available for not-for-profit projects that want to use renewable energy to provide community benefits.

Wall's Pastry: Helping Hand Campaign

Wall’s Pastry’s Helping Hand campaign is new to 2017 and will provide one winner with a makeover worth £5000 from their team of handymen.  Simply nominate “those unsung community heroes, worn out village halls or tiring sports facilities that are in need of some TLC.”

National Churches Trust: Repair Grants

The National Churches Trust is the national, independent charity dedicated to supporting and promoting places of worship of historic, architectural and community value used by Christian denominations throughout the UK. The Repair Grants programme offers grants of £10,000 and above towards the cost of urgent and essential structural repair projects. A small number of grants are available at £40,000 and above.

Unltd: Spaces 4 Change

A UK wide programme for 16-24 year olds to start and run social ventures that unlock the potential of unused or under-utilised spaces for the benefit of the local community, especially other young people.  From 2016-2019 100 awards for young leaders will provide up to £5,000 project funding, tailored support and networking opportunities for sharing knowledge and learning.
