New or Updated Funding Initiatives

WA Cadbury Charitable Trust

The Trust funds cross community initiatives promoting peace and reconciliation in NI and Ireland. The UK programme supports penal reform and Quaker causes. The Trust also supports international development.  Small grants of up to £2000 and large grants from £10,000 - £20,000 are available.

Toy Trust

Founded by the BTHA, the Toy Trust- the industry’s charity- exists to raise money predominantly from the toy industry, its suppliers and friends; and distribute the money raised to charities helping disadvantaged and disabled children within the UK and abroad.  Maximum grant award is £5000.

Foyle Foundation Small Grants

The Small Grants Scheme is designed to support smaller charities in the UK, especially those working at grass roots and local community level, in any field, across a wide range of activities.  Annual turnover must be under £100,000.

Key Dates for your Fundraising Diary

!!!Comic Relief: Core Strength- Local Communities

This scheme provides funding for groups’ core costs - meaning expenditure that is not connected to delivering projects but focusing on investing in the organisation as a whole, such as basic running costs.  In NI this scheme is managed by the Community Foundation for NI.  Grants of £1,000 to £5,000 (inclusive) are available under this scheme.

Aviva Community Fund

The Aviva Community Fund offers support and funding for inspirational local causes. The scheme aims to help both large charities and smaller ones who may otherwise find it difficult to gain financial backing or recognition. Projects can receive funding of from up to £1000 up to £25,000.

The Prince's Countryside Fund

The Fund provides grants of up to £50,000 for innovative projects in the UK that provide a lasting legacy to individuals and communities in rural areas and contribute to its objectives of 1) Improving the prospects of viability for family farm businesses, 2) Sustaining Rural Communities and driving Economic Vibrancy or 3)  Supporting Aid Delivery in Emergency and Building Resilience

Sir Halley Stewart Trust

The Trust supports innovative and pioneering Social, Medical and Religious projects, to enable human flourishing and to prevent suffering.  Funds a wide range of organisations, with grants from 1-3 years and up to £60,000. Underpinned by Christian values, but welcomes applications from other faith and non-faith projects.
