Funding news this week
Tesco is banishing Blue Monday, traditionally known as the most depressing day of the year, by launching a campaign to give 60 charities and community projects a boost. Over the next three weeks, they are calling for applications from groups across the UK that could benefit from a £5000 grant to help them to make a difference in their communities. Deadline midnight on 6th February 2022.
Building the Community Pharmacy Partnership (BCPP)
The programme aims to promote and support local communities to work in partnership with community pharmacists to address local health and social wellbeing needs using a community development approach. Round 42 deadlines are: Level 1 – 17th February 2022 and Level 2 – 24th March 2022.
Screwfix Foundation funding rounds 2022
The Screwfix Foundation has announced the dates for their 2022 funding rounds. The Foundation raise funds throughout the year to support causes that will change people's lives. They work with both national and local charities, donating much needed funds to help all sorts of projects, from repairing building and improving facilities in deprived areas, to decorating the homes of people living with sickness and disabilities. Deadlines are the 10th of February, May, August and November 2022.
The MSE Charity is funded by Money Saving Expert and gives grants to not for profit organisations that deliver activities which make a lasting impact on how people think, behave and manage their money. They operate four schemes with two opening each year. Their next grant round, Living with Long Term Challenges opens 1st February 2022 and closes 25th February 2022.
Dying Matters Community Grants Programme
Hospice UK’s Dying Matters campaign is working to create an open culture in which we’re comfortable talking about death, dying and bereavement. Dying Matters’ vision is of an open culture that talks about death and where people feel able to listen and support those who are planning for end of life, who are dying, and who have been bereaved.

Clothworkers Company: Charity Governance Awards
The Charity Governance Awards is an exciting not-for-profit initiative created to celebrate outstanding governance in charities both small and large in the UK. Cash prize of £5,000 for category winners, £1000 for runners up and in-kind awards. National and local charities, large and small, are encouraged to participate.
Entry is free; the deadline is 26 January 2022.
Community Foundation for NI: Social Justice Small Grants Programme
The Social Justice Small Grants Programme, aims to support locally based community groups and locally based ‘communities of interest’ with an interest in promoting or embedding human rights and social justice in their day to day work for and with their chosen communities.
Deadline is 1pm on 27th January 2022.
MINORITY ETHNIC DEVELOPMENT FUND 2022/23 – 24/25
The Minority Ethnic Development Fund (MEDF) from The Executive Office (TEO) provides support for voluntary and community organisations working with minority ethnic people and groups. The aim of the Fund is to assist minority ethnic and local community organisations to promote good relations between people of different ethnic backgrounds.
Deadline is 2pm on 27th January 2022.

MOVEMBER Social Connections Challenge
Movember are excited to announce a new GBP £5.7M Mental Health Grants Funding Program aiming to strengthen the implementation and evaluation of scalable initiatives which currently exist in both the community and/or workplace.
Application deadline is 5pm on 31st January 2022.
