The National Lottery Community Fund: Living Places and Spaces
Launching 1st November, this programme offers small scale capital grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 to support communities in creating more sustainable and resilient outdoor spaces. They are distributing these grants on behalf of the Department for Infrastructure.
Communities Leading Change – Participatory Budgeting initiative open
Communities Leading Change is a Participatory Budgeting initiative from Newry, Mourne and Down District Council which allows residents to decide how to spend part of a public budget by voting on which projects they think would be most beneficial and make the biggest impact in their community. Simply complete an expression of interest form, making sure that your project fits the theme and then pitch your idea to the community at the event.
Community Foundation Northern Ireland opens more schemes
- Thornog Community Benefit Fund – for local community projects within 7 miles of the windfarm. Micro grant of up to £1,500 for small projects and strategic grant of £10,000 for larger scale strategic partnership projects, with one lead applicant.
- Long Mountain Community Benefit Fund – for local community within 5 miles of the centre of the windfarm. Grants of up to £5,000.
- Rathsherry Community Benefit Fund – for local communities within 6 miles of the centre of the windfarm. Grants £1,000 - £3,000 with partnership applications awarded up to £9,000.
London Arts and Health have joined forces with Collaborative Change and Footwork Trust to launch the Partner-Up fund, supporting and empowering high-impact arts collaborations for social change. Groups of organisations with a shared idea for an arts-for-social-change project are invited to apply for one of two funding grants – up to £30,000 per project.

The Energy for Generations Fund has three main pillars of focus: Suicide, Homelessness and Education Access and Support.

Department for Infrastructure: Road Safety Grants Scheme
Individuals and groups from the voluntary and community sector can apply for up to £10,000 to develop and run projects aimed at improving road safety or active travel in local communities.

Community Foundation for NI: Social Justice Small Grants Programme
The Programme supports locally based community groups/ ‘communities of interest’ interested in promoting or embedding human rights and social justice in their day-to-day work. Up to £5,000 available with an additional £1k to £1.5k Mentor support also provided.

Arts Council NI: Musical Instruments for Bands
This programme aims to increase the quality of music-making in the community by helping bands to replace worn-out instruments and purchase new instruments. Grants of up to £10,000 are available to constituted Northern Ireland bands including marching, accordion, brass, concert, flute, pipe and wind bands.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Capital Grant Aid Programme
Capital Grant Aid Programme covers the period up to 31 March 2023. The maximum level of funding is up to 75% of eligible expenditure up to a maximum grant of £20,000.
