COVID-19 Trust & Foundation Funds CURRENTLY OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS

• Henderson Group: Community Cashback Grant

A new ‘Community Cashback’ fund of £20,000 to support communities in need in Ni.  Using an online public voting system , for 4 weeks from 20th April, each week will see groups receiving £2000 (1st place), £1500 (2nd place), £1000 (3rd place) or £500 (4th place). 

• Standard Life Coronavirus Funding

Grants of £5,000 to £50,000 or more for work directly related to COVID-19, addressing specific challenges and helping to contribute to social change which tackles financial problems and improves living standards for those on low-to-middle incomes in the UK. .

• National Lottery Heritage Fund: Heritage Emergency Fund

Grants from £3,000 to £50,000 for short-term funding for organisations delivering heritage projects or running previously funded projects, and safeguarding heritage sites NLHF have previously invested in to ensure they are not lost to the public.  Closes 30th June 2020. FAQ 

• Live Here, Love Here - Small Grants Scheme

Grants from £500 to £5,000 for volunteer and community groups, all school and third level education organisations, youth groups and sports clubs for civic pride projects. Will also fund community groups to support the needs of local people impacted through reduced contact with society.  Closes 18th May 2020 at 12 noon.

• Remote Family Engagement Fund - Arts and Business

Funds of £500 - £1,000 to allow arts organisations and individual practitioners to develop a range of relevant and timely resources to assist the families of business employees as they adjust to their new living and working arrangements.  Deadline for applications 5pm 24th April 2020

• Enkalon Foundation Coronavirus Community Support Fund

Now focussing a modest funding pot on charities and community organisations helping people who are isolated and vulnerable in their local communities at this difficult time  All potential applicants need to contact the administrator directly with an outline of the new or existing project. 

• Comic Relief: No Child Goes Hungry – Community Support Programme

Grants of up to £2500 for community based food provision responses that support local families with children under the age of 10 as a result of the order to close schools and/or loss of household income as a result of COVID-19.

• CWSAN: "Safety Equipment and Volunteers Fuel” Small Grants 

Cookstown and Western Shores Area Network (CWSAN) is providing a limited number of small grants of £150 for safety equipment and fuel for volunteers.  Up to £150 for small local emergency support groups only who are working right across their local communities.

• The Fore: The RAFT Fund (Rapid Action by the Fore) 

Emergency grants of up to £5,000 to help small charities and social enterprises respond to the COVID-19 crisis. Currently only open to existing grantees although they are aiming to raise £1 million funding to extend to other organisations. 

• Clothworkers' Emergency Capital Programme

Small capital grants of up to £5,000 for essential capital items to adapt or increase services in response to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. Priority will be given to organisations supporting vulnerable and ‘at risk’ groups within their programme areas. 

• Community Foundation for NI: Coronavirus Community Fund 

The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland's Coronavirus Community Fund offers grants of up to £10,000 to help constituted groups in NI to deal with the emerging issues from Coronavirus.  

• Halifax Foundation NI

Now focussing their small grants on charities and constituted groups that focus on supporting the community through COVID-19.  Aiming for a faster turnaround with monthly or even weekly decision-making.  

• Neighbourly.com

£500,000 available for micro-grants to community organisations that are helping the people most affected by the outbreak, including the elderly, those on low incomes and people at risk of food insecurity.

• Greggs Foundation - Coronavirus Emergency Appeal  (Closed in NI)

• Legal & General Coronavirus Emergency Charity Fund (Closed 20th April 2020)

• Sport NI - Sports Hardship fund (Closed pending additional funding)

• Leathersellers Coronavirus Focussed Small Grants (Closed to new applications)

• CRISIS: In This Together- Emergency Grants Programme (Paused 15th April)

• Tesco Bags of Help COVID 19 Communities Fund (Now closed in NI)

• CAF Coronavirus Emergency Fund (Paused pending further donations)

• The Princes Countryside Fund (Closed 15th April but will reopen again)

• MoneySavingExpert (Closed pending further donations)
