True Colours Trust: Small Grants UK Programme

Committed to supporting a large number of smaller, local organisations and projects that work with disabled children and their families. Keen to support Hydrotherapy pools, Multi-sensory rooms, Mini buses, Young carers projects, Sibling projects, Bereavement support, Specialised play equipment and Family support/parent-led peer support.

Boost Charitable Trust

Created in 2005 to Build On Over-Looked Sporting Talent, to champion the disabled and disadvantaged and to inspire them to overcome their challenges through the power of sport. Since inception, Boost has provided grants totalling in excess of £1.5 million, with the majority in the UK.

Belfast City Council: Arts and Heritage Project Grant

Supports one-off arts and heritage projects that are innovative (new or unique to Belfast) or support organisational development (or both). You must show how your project will be ‘Distinctly Belfast’ and support one other theme.

Nesta: Future Ready Fund

A £250,000 fund to support high-potential, early-stage interventions to test and further develop interventions that promote wider skills in secondary-age (11-18) young people, focusing on social and emotional skills and resilience. £35,000-£50,000 is available for between 5 and 7 grantees, alongside non-financial support focusing on evaluation.

Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity

Marvellous Family Grants are for families facing financial hardship while caring for a child with a serious illness. They provide support to help families cope, from funding specialist equipment and creative therapies to hospital travel expenses.  NB They are only able to accept applications completed via a health or social care professional employed by a statutory organisation (NHS or local authority).
