New or Updated Funding Initiatives

Sir Halley Stewart Trust

Supports innovative and pioneering Social, Medical and Religious projects which enable human flourishing and to prevent suffering.  Grants range from 1-3 years and up to circa £60,000 per project.  Underpinned by Christian values, but welcomes applications from other faith and non-faith projects.

Thomas Wall Trust

Provides grants of up to £1,000 for small registered charities, running specific projects that address the educational and social needs of their communities.  (Also provide small grants to assist individuals in funding training courses that improve their chances of employment.)

D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust

Funds UK registered charities in the fields of the advancement of the arts, health and medical welfare and environmental protection or improvement.  Grants usually range from £500 - £5,000 and are usually 1 year.

Global Fund for Women

Strengthens women's right groups based outside the United States by providing small, flexible, and timely grants ranging from $500 to $20,000 for operating and programme expenses.

NEW Hovis: Live Good Local Challenge

A new initiative to celebrate the success of "Hovis Live Good" in NI by offering local groups, clubs and non-profit organisations that help the community ‘Live Good’, the chance to win £3000.   Public voting determines eventual winners.

The Theatres Trust: UK Theatres Small Grants Scheme

A capital fund that awards up to £5,000 to UK theatres run by charities and not-for-profit groups that can clearly demonstrate the value capital improvements to their theatres would make to their work in local communities.

Slieve Rushen Wind Farm Fund

Mantlin Ltd donates £50,000 a year to the Fermanagh Trust to support this initiative which is open to community and voluntary organisations/projects which are not politically affiliated and which are located within a ten-mile radius of the Slieve Rushen Wind farm.
