New or Updated Funding Initiatives

Sage Foundation

Sage, the software company has launched a Sage Foundation Enterprise Fund.  The new $1 million (around £800k) fund is open to non-profits from around the UK with enterprising ideas to help improve the lives of military veterans, young people or women and girls in the local community.  Grants of between $5,000 and $35,000 will be awarded

Mid Ulster District Council: Community Development Venues Grant

The purpose of Community Development Venues Grant scheme is to allocate grant support to community and voluntary sector organisations that are providing community venues/centres to facilitate a range of community development type activity.   Grants are available up to a maximum of £3000.

CRC Community Relations/Cultural Diversity Grant (Opening 1st April)

Community Relations Council funding is intended to help community/voluntary groups throughout NI develop their capacity to engage in community relations work and to enhance the community relations potential of projects they undertake.  Grants of up to £10,000 are available although most awards are between 2-5K.

Key Dates for your Fundraising Diary

Grants for Places of Worship (Northern Ireland)

The Grants for Places of Worship programme is for projects that involve urgent structural repairs to places of worship that are at risk. As part of a repair project they can also fund work to encourage greater community use and engagement. You can apply for a grant from £10,000 to £250,000.

The Henry Smith Charity - Holiday Grants for Children

One off grants of up to £2,500 for organisations, schools, youth groups etc specifically for holidays or outings for children under the age of 13 who are disabled or who live in areas of high deprivation.

Comic Relief: Levelling the Field UK

Levelling the Field, offers funding to organisations working in partnership in the UK, which use the power of sport to empower women and girls to reach their full potential.  Levelling the Field is a £1 million initiative funded by Comic Relief and the Treasury to support projects in the UK.
