New or Updated Funding Initiatives

Coca Cola Thank You Fund

This fund will award a total of €100,000 to youth-oriented non-profit organisations in 2018.  Grants will range from €5,000 to €30,000.  A new element will also be ‘The People’s Choice Award’ where 20 applications will be shortlisted to be put to an online public vote and a chance to win €10,000.

Wesleyan Foundation Large Grants Fund

Administered by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, the Wesleyan Foundation was established in 2017 to support various good causes throughout the UK.  The Large Grants Scheme provides grants from £2000 to £10,000.  In NI only Belfast-based groups can apply.

Allen Lane Foundation

Fund small registered charities, voluntary groups, and charitable organisations across the UK which they believe to be unpopular both in society, and with other funders.  Will support running and core costs and make around 150 grants a year, to a total value of 750K to 850K.

The Marsh Christian Trust

Annually support around 250 small registered charities in various fields through long-term core funding.  Will cover running costs, such as volunteer expenses, training days, equipment maintenance and other core outgoings.  Grants are unrestricted and range from £250-£4,000, with new applications at the lower end of this scale.

Key Dates for your Fundraising Diary

Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity

Marvellous Family Grants are for families facing financial hardship while caring for a child with a serious illness. They provide support from funding specialist equipment and creative therapies to hospital travel expenses.  Applications must be from a health or social care professional.

Application Deadline: 5pm 11 Jun 2018

George Best Belfast City Airport: Community Fund

Support projects facilitating community, social and environmental/conservation ideally based within Ards and North Down or Belfast.  Preference given to organisations with a charitable status (except for schools/play groups). Applicants must have been established for a minimum of 24 months.

Sport Relief: Safe, Secure, Settled Grant Programme

This initiative will invest in projects that are using sport to improve the lives of young people without a safe or secure place to live, helping them to gain the skills and resources to lead safe and positive lives.
