Ulster Garden Villages (UGV)

UGV gives grants of £1.5m each year.  They fund projects that will have a positive impact in NI and which demonstrate active participation and self-help and are innovative and developmental with an achievable, practical and sustainable objective.  (Loans are also available).

Garfield Weston Foundation

The Garfield Weston Foundation is one of the largest grant-making trusts in the UK supporting the broadest range of charitable purposes.  They provide Major Grants (£100,000 and above) and Regular Grants (from £1,000 - £99,999.)

Irish World Grants Scheme

Irish World Ltd., one of Ireland's leading family-research companies, has announced a new scheme for 2017-18 to provide grants of £200 to local history groups throughout Tyrone to help finance speakers and presenters.

The Jerusalem Trust

The Jerusalem Trust (one of the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts) funds projects which advance the Christian religion and Christian education and learning.  Priority funding areas are Evangelism and Christian Mission in the UK, Christian Education, Christian Evangelism and Relief Work Overseas, Christian Media and Christian Art.

Key Dates for your Fundraising Diary

W G Edwards Charitable Foundation

Provide grants for the provision of care for older people, including funding capital projects, refurbishment and equipment as well as innovative schemes for ongoing care.  Around 50 organisations each year are successful in obtaining grants usually between £1000-£5000. The average grant is £2200.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council: PEACE IV: Cross-Community Garden Improvement Scheme

This fund aims to make local community gardens and allotments more open and inclusive, improve cross community relations and increase community cohesion.   Up to 10 groups will receive £2,000 for gardening equipment, etc plus gardening skills training, and best practice visits.

Help the Homeless

Provides grants of up to £5,000 for capital costs to small and medium-sized registered charities only (under £1m turnover per annum) for projects that assist individuals in their return to mainstream society, rather than simply offer shelter or other forms of sustenance.
