Heritage Lottery Fund: Heritage Endowments

The Heritage Endowments programme offers grants of £250,000, £500,000 or £1 million to support organisations to create or develop an endowment fund that will provide a long-term annual income.  Grants are available to organisations in the UK who HLF are currently funding or have funded in the past. This is a match funding scheme –  where the HLF grant matches every pound raised by grant recipients.

Ernest Cook Trust

The Ernest Cook Trust is one of the UK’s leading educational charities. Rooted in the conservation and management of the countryside, it offers large grants of over £4,000 and a small grants programme for awards of under £4,000 on a rolling basis throughout the year. Grants are awarded to registered charities, schools and not-for-profits wishing to encourage young people’s interest either in the countryside and the environment or the arts (in the broadest sense) or aiming to raise levels of literacy and numeracy.

Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust

The Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT) is a Quaker trust which seeks to transform the world by supporting people who address the root causes of conflict and injustice. It currently runs 5 grant programmes Peace and Security (P & S), Power and Accountability (P & A), Rights and Justice (R & J), Sustainable Future (SF) and Northern Ireland (NI).

Ulster Bank: Skills & Opportunities Fund

The Fund will provide grants of up to £35,000 for charities, social enterprises, community groups, state-funded schools and colleges based in the Ireland and Northern Ireland, to fund projects aimed at helping people learn new skills, find employment or start a business.

The Woodland Trust: Free Tree Planting Packs

The Woodland Trust's free tree packs offer the opportunity to bring people together to plant trees - encouraging local wildlife, protecting our landscape against tree disease and creating beautiful wooded areas that people can enjoy for years to come.  If you are a school or community group in the UK who want to make a difference to your local environment, you could be eligible for their free tree packs.
