Sir Halley Stewart Trust

Sir Halley Stewart Trust is a grant-giving charity that supports innovative and pioneering Social, Medical and Religious projects, to enable human flourishing and to prevent suffering.  The Trust funds a wide range of organisations to achieve this goal, with grants ranging from one to three years in duration and up to circa £60,000 per project.  The Trust is underpinned by Christian values, but welcomes applications from other faith and non-faith projects.

Lloyds Banking Group: Credit Union Development Fund

A £4m fund designed to strengthen the financial position of credit unions and give them the capacity to develop new strategies for sustained and effective growth. Two kinds of grants are available: a) Large awards of between £50,000 and £100,000 and b) Seed funding awards (of up to £20,000).

Sport & Recreation Alliance: Community Sport and Recreation Awards

The Community Sport and Recreation Awards are looking for those clubs, organisations and initiatives who are doing truly great work in their local communities.  Entry is free and simple and each category winner will receive £1,000 to help boost their work.  5 award categories including mental health and volunteering.

European Social Innovation Competition

Aims to ‘reboot’ equality by inspiring fresh and energetic approaches to digital inclusion, connectivity, and skills development.  The competition is looking for inspiring ideas, large and small, from people all around Europe who believe in building a truly inclusive economy and making the most of skills and technologies to close the gap in our society.

Edge Fund

They support work run by and for communities facing discrimination and injustice and work that aims to create systemic change. They fund individuals and small grassroots groups that find it difficult to get funding elsewhere and look for work that creates change in society, rather than traditional support and services work.  A very small fund, with the maximum grants at £3,000 for groups and £1,000 for individuals.

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council: Community Festivals Grant

Constituted community and voluntary organisations can apply online for a minimum grant of £1,500 up to a maximum of £3,500 to deliver a community festival in their area.   Events must also provide city-wide benefit and meet the council’s wider priorities around equality, community cohesion and place-shaping.
