B &Q Waste Donation scheme

B&Q operates a community reuse scheme through all its stores and donates waste materials, e.g. slightly damaged tins of paint, off-cuts of timber, and end of range materials, to community groups, charities and schools.

Eranda Foundation

Makes donations to registered charities working in the fields of medical research, education and the arts. Since its founding 50 years ago, it has made donations totalling more than £66 million to a wide range of charities.

The Nationwide Foundation: Nurturing Ideas to Change the Housing System

One of 3 grant prgrammes (other 2 not currently open) to increase access to decent, affordable homes in the UK. Accepts applications from academics and thinktanks through to small community groups (but not individuals).  No maximum or minimum grant limits, although they are unlikely to fund less than £5,000.

Philip Henman Trust Grants

Offers grants to major UK- based charities, who are concerned with overseas development and who require partnership funding of up to £25,000 for projects lasting between three and five years.

BBC Children in Need Main Grants

Open to charities and not-for-profits applying for grants over £10,000 per year for up to 3 years for work with children and young people of 18 years and under experiencing disadvantage through illness, distress, abuse or neglect, any kind of disability, behavioural or psychological difficulties or living in poverty or situations of deprivation.

Initial Application Deadline: 11:59pm 13 Sep 2018

Museums Association

One of a number of programmes, the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, funds projects which develop collections to achieve social impact.  Museums, galleries and heritage organisations from across the UK can apply for a grant of between £20,000 and £120,000 for a project lasting up to three years.
