New or Updated Funding Initiatives

The Law Society

The Law Society Charity supports organisations whose work is related to the law and the legal profession, and whose activities would be likely to benefit from funds made available on behalf of solicitors.  It provides grants for projects that promote Human rights, Access to justice and/or Legal education.  Grants are normally in the range £5,000 - £15,000 and provided on a one-off basis, although they can occasionally be spread over two or three years.

GROW South Antrim (Generating Rural Opportunities Within South Antrim)

GROW South Antrim (Generating Rural Opportunities Within South Antrim) has been set up to manage and deliver LEADER Priority 6 of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 across the Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council area.   2 of the 4 schemes are now open: Rural Business Investment Scheme and Rural Basic Services Scheme.  Workshops, (a mandatory part of the application process) are opening in October across South Antrim.

Corby Knowe Community Benefit Fund

The Corby Knowe Community Benefit Fund (set up by Gaelectric) will be administered by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland and will provide a fund available for local projects that educate, raise awareness and demonstrate community involvement in work that promotes environmental issues and healthier lifestyles.  Small grants are available ranging from £250 to £1000.  The fund will support projects addressing issues relating to the themes of Children and teenagers, Environment and living spaces and/or Community Partnerships.

Key Dates for your Fundraising Diary

Thomas Wall Trust

The Thomas Wall Trust considers applications for grants of up to £1,000 for small charities, running specific projects that address the educational and social needs of their communities.  Grants do not normally exceed £1,000 and it must be clear how a grant of this size will make a significant contribution to the project or activity.

Stoves Community Kitchens

British cooking appliance brand, Stoves is looking for community projects to support as part of its new £20,000 community kitchens campaign which aims to place the kitchen at the heart of local communities by helping projects to transform their kitchen facilities.  Its biannual campaign will transform kitchen facilities in community projects across the UK, awarding deserving initiatives with thousands of pounds worth of kitchen appliances.

PRSF: The Open Fund for Organisations

The Open Fund for Organisations offers grants of up to £10,000 to support new music projects led by promoters, talent development organisations, venues, curators and large performance groups (i.e. 12 + performers).  Projects must involve the creation, performance and promotion of new music and enable songwriters, composers, artists, bands and performers of all backgrounds to develop creatively and professionally.
