John Moores Foundation funds projects in Merseyside and NI which enable small, grass-roots and volunteer driven organisations to help people who are marginalised, as a result of social, educational, physical, economic, cultural, geographical or other disadvantage, to improve their social conditions and quality of life.

The Theatres Trust: UK Theatres Small Grants Scheme

The UK Theatres Small Grants Scheme is a capital fund that awards up to £5,000 to theatres across the UK run by charities and not-for-profit groups that can clearly demonstrate the value capital improvements to their theatres would make to their work in local communities. No match funding is required.

Comic Relief: Core Strength- Local Communities

This scheme provides grants of £1000-£5000 for groups’ core costs. Priority is given to small, locally based groups or organisations in areas of disadvantage that have a clear understanding of the needs of their community and are undertaking actions as a means of addressing these needs.

National Lottery Awards

The National Lottery Awards are an annual search to find the UK's favourite Lottery-funded projects.  Winners in each of 7 categories receive a £5,000 prize for their project and star in a television show on BBC One.  Winners receive a £5,000 prize for their project and star in a television show on BBC One.

The Fore

Makes unrestricted grants of up to £30,000 over 1-3 years to enable organisations to take a step forward in their development or give them the chance to do something you couldn’t before.  Income must be under £1m and you need to be UK registered, but can be a charity, social enterprise or community interest company.

Arts & Disability Forum: iDA Grant Scheme

Managed on behalf of Arts Council NI this scheme is open to disabled/deaf artists living in NI. Artists can apply for up to £5,000.  It aims to identify, encourage and nurture individual talent amongst disabled practitioners.
