New or Updated Funding Initiatives

Ragdoll Foundation

The Ragdoll Foundation provides grants of up to £50k for organisations developing creative and innovative approaches to engaging children and young people using the arts and creative media.   However, most grants are around £5k to £20k.

Charles Hayward Foundation

Main Grants (up to £25k a year for 1-3 years and Small Grants (up to £7k).  Main grants cover Social & Criminal Justice, Heritage & Conservation and Overseas work.  Small grants cover Social & Criminal Justice, Heritage & Conservation and Older People.  (Registered charities only.)

DWF Foundation

Provides funds, resources and support to help communities achieve their full potential.  Their priorities are: Homelessness, Health & Wellbeing, Employability and Education (Registered charities only).  There is no minimum grant size, but the majority of their grants will fall under £5k.

The Edward Gostling Foundation (formerly ACT Foundation)

Provides grants to other charities that support people of all ages living on low incomes who have a physical and/or mental disability or long-term illness.  There is a fast-track Small Grants Programme for applications under £5K and a Large Grants Programme for applications of £5K or over.

Key Dates for your Fundraising Diary

BRAND NEW!!!! Community Foundation for NI: Keadue Community Grants Fund

Newly set up by a local family to provide support to local organisations tackling social need in Derry/Londonderry and surrounding rural areas including Limavady, Strabane and Dungiven.  Grants will typically be between £10k and £20k for up to two years.

National Vegetarian Week

As part of National Vegetarian Week, small grants of up to £200 are available and larger grants of up to £2000 to help fund community activities and events by Not for profit organisations in the UK (e.g. community groups, schools, housing associations, youth clubs, Cubs, Brownies, Scouts or Guides).
