New or Updated Funding Initiatives

ESB: Wind Farm Community Fund

Administered by Groundwork NI, this fund provides grants of around £3000 to £6000 for community projects which clearly address current and emerging local issues, needs and opportunities, while also seeking to develop and build upon existing initiatives.

The Lightbody Foundation Grant

In partnership with CFNI, the Foundation will make £10,000 grants to 5 or 6 NI charities, twice a year.  Priorities are mental health, children and adults with special needs, dementia, enabling disadvantaged children to access creative activities such as music, sport and cancer and disease research.

Arts Council NI: Small Grants Programme

Aims to assist organisations to deliver arts projects which contribute to the growth of arts in the community for new and existing audiences and which reflect the diversity of NI’s society and culture. Awards range from £500 and £10,000 for a project, although currently the maximum grant is unlikely to exceed £5,000.

ChurchCare: Fabric Repairs

ChurchCare gives grants of up to £10,000 for essential fabric repairs in Anglican parish churches in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Building the Community Pharmacy Partnership (BCPP) Level 1 Funding

Supports local communities to work in partnership with community pharmacists to address local health and social wellbeing needs.  Level 1 funding provides grants of up to £2,500 for projects up to 6 months.

Administered by Co-operation Ireland, this fund provides grants of £1,500 – £5,000 to promote partnership and collaboration between NI voluntary or community sector organisations.
