New or Updated Funding Initiatives

Eranda Foundation

Makes donations to registered charities working in the fields of medical research, education and the arts. In addition, social welfare is supported, especially work known to the trustees. Since its founding fifty years ago, it has made donations totalling more than £66 million to a wide range of charities.

Museums Association

Provides award to promote the conservation of dress and textiles of all periods and their display; for the conservation of social history artefacts in small museums and; for the purchase of pictures and works of art not later than the eighteenth century in date.

UCIT: Building Better Futures Loan Fund

Established in 2017 as a new loan fund jointly funded by Building Change Trust, Belfast Charitable Society and UCIT, it provides small, unsecured loans ranging from £1,000 to £25,000 for community groups, voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises.

National Church Trust: Gateway Grants

Offers grants of between £3,000 and £10,000 towards project development and investigative work up to RIBA planning stage 1, to support churches preparing for a major project, and in developing their project to the point at which they can approach a major grant funder.
