Comic Relief: Communities and Sport for Change

This scheme aims to fund projects which use sport as a catalyst for change, helping people to take ownership and feel part of increasingly inclusive and cohesive communities and also feel empowered to identify and solve the social issues affecting their communities. Grants of between £40,000 and £75,000 for up to two years of activity are available.

Polden-Puckham Charitable Foundation (PPCF)

The Polden-Puckham Charitable Foundation (PPCF) aims to contribute to the development of a just society based on a commitment to nonviolence and environmental sustainability.  Its priority is to address systemic threats by seeking to change policy and attitudes at a national or European level.   PPCF usually give grants of between £5,000 and £15,000 per year, for up to three years.

The Prince's Countryside Fund

The Prince's Countryside Fund provides grants of up to £50,000 for innovative projects operating in the UK that provide a lasting legacy to individuals and communities in rural areas.  The Prince’s Countryside Fund provides more than £1m in grants each year to projects across the UK.

O2: The Environment Now

O2 Think Big helps young people aged 17-24 to deliver environmental solutions using digital technology.  The scheme provides grants of up to £10,000 plus mentoring, work experience and insight days with industry professionals to help you bring young people bring their ideas to life.

Women's Fund Individual Bursaries

The Women’s Fund for Northern Ireland's Individual Bursaries have been set up to fill a gap in funding opportunities for individual women who require a small amount of financial aid (£300-£500) to support them towards fulfilling their potential and to get back into employment.

Trusthouse Charitable Foundation: Supporting Older People in NI Grants

A one-off, NI-specific grants programme from UK-wide funder Trusthouse Charitable Foundation.  A £110,000 fund will offer grants of £1,000 to £12,000 to projects supporting older people, located in areas of socio-economic deprivation solely in NI.  They have a preference for work which helps people with dementia, but are open to any project which will improve the quality of life and wellbeing of older people, including addressing issues of loneliness and isolation.

Weavers' Company Benevolent Fund

Weaver Company Benevolent Fund's principal aim is to support people in trouble, particularly young offenders and ex-offenders, and other disadvantaged young people. Preference is given to pump priming new projects, especially those which are innovatory and can serve as a model elsewhere.  In over 40 years the fund has disbursed more than £4 million supporting many worthwhile projects.

CRC Community Relations/Cultural Diversity Grant

Community Relations Council funding is intended to help community/voluntary groups throughout NI develop their capacity to engage in community relations work and to enhance the community relations potential of projects they undertake.  Grants of up to £10,000 are available although most awards are between £2- £5k.
