New or Updated Funding Initiatives

The Henry Smith Charity - Christian Projects Grants

Provides grants to support projects that explicitly promote the Christian faith in the UK.  Grants are usually £10,000+ per year.  Grants can be for up to 3 years but most are for 1-2 years.

Tudor Trust Grants

Tudor makes grants, and provides other types of support, to help smaller, community-led organisations which work directly with people who are at the margins of society: organisations which support positive changes in people’s lives and in their communities.

The Discovery Foundation: Discovery Grants

Discovery Grants support projects that improve people’s knowledge, skills or which provide innovative solutions to overcome social challenges.   Discovery Grants from roughly £200 up to £5,000 are available.

Key Dates for your Fundraising Diary

Kelly Family Charitable Trust

Grants of up to £5000 for registered charities whose activities involve all or most family members, where possible, in initiatives that seek to tackle problems facing one or more of its members. They’ve funded charities working in fields including early intervention, mediation, prison services and services for families affected by sexual abuse, physical abuse and domestic violence, among others.

ESB: Energy for Generations Fund

Annually awards €1 million in direct funding to charities working in the areas of suicide prevention, alleviation of homelessness and education access and support. Mainly fund registered charities. Start ups can be funded if the project has merit.  Average funding c €6-7,000.

Idlewild Trust

Runs two grants programmes supporting specific areas within conservation and the arts.  Idlewild Trust awards grants of up to £5,000 and in 2016 awarded 39 grants totalling £141,091, an average of £3618.
