New or Updated Funding Initiatives

Rosa: Woman to Woman Fund

Supported by the “Tampon Tax”, this scheme provides grants of up to £25,000 for no fewer than 100 local grassroots women’s organisations across the UK.  It will be supported by the ‘Tampon Tax.’  Grants are available for groups with an income of under £100,000 per year, to support a wide range of charitable work that benefits women.

Anchor Foundation

Supporting Christian charities concerned with social inclusion, particularly through ministries of healing and the arts. Grants range from £500 to £10,000. They will consider applications for projects abroad.

ACT Foundation

ACT provides grants to individuals and other charities, principally in the UK, with the aim of enhancing the quality of life for people in need, particularly those with mental and physical disabilities. Grants are provided for short-term respite breaks, provision of specialised wheelchairs, other mobility aids and equipment to assist independent living and modifications to homes, schools, hospices etc.

US Embassy Small Grants Scheme

Managed by the Cultural Office, this Grants programme assists non-profit and educational organisations implement programmes that promote the U.S.-UK partnership.  Proposals are now being accepted for projects that commemorate the 2017 centenary of the U.S. entry into WW1, promote tolerance and combat hatred and counter violent extremism, promote youth leadership or develop innovative programmes to advance the Special Relationship.

Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust

The Trust's aims are to benefit or protect animals, relieve animals from suffering, conserve wild life and encourage the understanding of animals.  Since being set up in 1982, the Trust has given over £8.4 million to animal welfare charities.
