Church of Ireland Priorities Fund

Since 1980, the General Synod Priorities Fund (generally known as the Priorities Fund) has supported projects within the Church of Ireland. Every parish is asked to contribute to the Fund and the amount raised is allocated to the following categories:  Training (Lay and Ordained), Christian Education, Outreach Initiatives and Innovative Ministry in a Rural Context.

John Ellerman Foundation

One of the largest grant-making trusts in the UK.  Don’t fund work that is just based in Scotland, Wales or NI, but will consider applications from organisations based in one of the countries if the work is of UK-wide significance, is so exemplary or pioneering that it will be of special interest and relevance elsewhere in the UK; or the work covers more than one UK country.

Imagine Democracy - You Decide

The ‘Imagine Democracy – You Decide!’ initiative offers up to £500 to fund creative actions by groups or individuals that re-imagine local democracy through activism, campaigning, creative expression, building public awareness, etc.

Greenhall Foundation

The objective of the Green Hall Foundation is to sustainably improve lives: among the sick, the elderly, the disabled and the disadvantaged particularly in the UK. Overseas projects are also supported provided that the applicant charity is registered in the UK.

National Churches Trust: Cornerstone Grants

The Trust supports places of worship of historic, architectural and community value used by Christian denominations in the UK. The Cornerstone Grant Programme offers grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 towards the cost of urgent structural repair projects costed at more than £100,000 including VAT. They will also consider projects that introduce kitchens and accessible toilets to enable increased community use, costed at more than £30,000 including VAT.

The Woodroffe Benton Foundation is a small grant-making trust which funds in the areas of Relief of Hardship, Care for the Elderly, Education & Youth Development and Environment & Conservation.  (Applications may only be made to their small grants programme where grants range from £250 - £2,000.)

Mid Ulster District Council: Small Arts, Culture, Heritage & Community Grant

One of a number of grant schemes run specifically to support the voluntary and community sector in the Mid Ulster District Council area. Grants are available up to a maximum of £1200 to support local communities deliver a range of local arts, culture, heritage, community projects for their local area.

Heart Research UK and SUBWAY® Healthy Heart Grants

Heart Research UK and SUBWAY® Healthy Heart Grants of up to £10,000 are available for new, original and innovative projects that actively promote Heart Health and help to prevent, or reduce, the risk of heart disease in specific groups or communities.
