Unltd: Spaces 4 Change

Spaces for Change (S4C) is a UK wide programme that will find, fund, support and connect young people aged 16-24 to start and run social ventures that unlock the potential of unused or under-utilised spaces for the benefit of the local community, especially other young people.  From 2016-2019 100 awards will be available for young leaders consisting of up to £5,000 project funding, a dedicated award manager providing tailored support, cohort support, and peer to peer networking opportunities for sharing knowledge and learning.

Hedley Foundation

The Hedley Foundation is a charitable foundation which supports young people, the disabled and the terminally ill.  The Foundation makes grants to small UK registered charities working with young people in the areas of Recreation, Sport, Training, Health and Welfare, Support and outdoor Education of young people between the ages of 11 and 25.

Esmee Fairbairn Foundation: Young People Leaving Care

Spending over £2m a year for at least 5 years, the Young People Leaving Care programme will support projects that see care leavers supported by the system and by their networks to feel emotionally stable and be financially secure, ultimately making a successful transition to independence.

Office for Civil Society: Tampon Tax Fund 2017/18

The 2017/18 Tampon Tax Fund is inviting charitable, benevolent and philanthropic organisations across the UK to bid into one or two categories: supporting women and girls affected by violence and improving the lives of disadvantaged women and girls.  The fund will be run by the Office for Civil Society, which is undergoing a move from Cabinet Office to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

Radcliffe Trust: Heritage & Crafts Grants

The Radcliffe Trust supports the development of the skills, knowledge and experience that underpin the UK’s traditional cultural heritage and crafts sectors. This includes support for craft and conservation training, for practical projects, particularly those that include a strong training element, and for strategic and capacity-building projects which demonstrate clear benefits to the sector.

Fermanagh & Omagh District Council: Community Premises Support Project

The Community Premises Support project, (funded by The Executive Office through the Social Investment Fund), enables community and voluntary groups located within the former Fermanagh, Omagh, Limavady and Strabane council districts. to apply for up to £20,000 to enhance their community buildings.  Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is acting as the lead partner on this grant programme. The Executive Office has committed £709,316 towards the Community Premises Support project to improve community facilities in the four former district council areas.

Mid and East Antrim Council: Community Festivals Fund

The Community Festivals Fund is to improve the capacity of community festivals and make them less reliant on public funding by providing support and training in addition to funding towards the cost of festivals. The Fund enables Community Organisations to celebrate their cultural identity and to strengthen community relations.

Information sessions will take place in the following locations:-

  • Strule Arts Centre, Omagh – Monday 23 January 2017 – 7.30pm – 9pm
  • Bawnacre Centre, Irvinestown – Tuesday 24 January 2017, 7.30pm – 9pm
  • Enniskillen Museum – Wednesday 25 January 2017, 1pm – 3pm
  • Strule Arts Centre, Omagh – Thursday 26 January 2017, 1pm – 3pm
  • Castle Park Leisure Centre, Lisnaskea – Thursday 26 January 2017, 7.30pm – 9pm

Applications for grant aid from Fermanagh and Omagh District Council open on 16 January 2017 and the closing date for all applications, is 5pm on Wednesday 8 February 2017.  For more details see here
