New or Updated Funding Initiatives

The Honourable The Irish Society: Northern Ireland Small Grants Fund

This fund helps small charitable organisations operating in NI Ireland with grants of up to £2,000 for capital items.  Priority is given to projects working with alcohol & substance misuse, older people, disability, homelessness, disadvantaged minority communities, prisoners & ex-offenders, disadvantaged young people, visual impairment and domestic & sexual violence.

Wolfson Foundation - Health and Disability

The Wolfson Foundation funds new buildings, refurbishments and equipment for a range of organisations delivering excellent care and support. The size of their grants varies from around £15,000 to £100,000 with match funding required for projects over £50,000.

British & Foreign School Society: Grants to Charities

Grants for education projects are given up to a total of around £700,000 a year. For organisations with UK charitable status working to advance educational opportunity in the UK and developing countries. (The Society no longer makes grants for individuals.)

Executive Office: Central Good Relations Fund

Aims to support productive projects which contribute to the promotion of good relations.  This is a small central scheme designed to distribute funding in-year to specific time-bound projects. Includes two programmes, “Small Grants” and “Project Funding”.

The Ireland Funds: Small Grants

The objective of The Ireland Funds is to contribute needed funds to a wide range of organisations working across the Island of Ireland. The maximum amount you may request is €/£7,000. Only not-for-profit and charitable organisations with an annual income of less than €/£1,000,000 can apply for funding.

UnLtd Do It Awards

Provides awards of up to £5,000 to individuals with an idea that will create social impact and deliver positive social change and who need some help to get started.  UnLtd operates a unique model by investing directly in individuals and offering a complete package of resources; from funding, to on-going advice, networking and practical support.
