PHA Small Grants: Emotional Wellbeing & Suicide Prevention
The Public Health Agency (PHA) has identified funding for a small grants scheme to address the themes of Mental Health & Emotional Well-Being, Suicide Prevention and Self- Harm, and have commissioned CLEAR to facilitate this process. The Public Health Agency are keen to fund programmes founded on evidence based practice with a particular focus on those using one or more of the ‘Take 5’ Steps to Wellbeing. This scheme covers the Western, Belfast, Southern & South Eastern Areas. Two types of awards are available under this scheme. Award one grants of up to £1,000 that non-constituted and constituted non-profit taking Community / Voluntary Sector groups can apply for and Award two grants of between £1,001 and to a maximum of £5,000 for constituted, non-profit taking Community / Voluntary sector groups.

Money Advice Service: What Works Fund
In support of the UK Financial Capability Strategy, the Money Advice Service's What Works Fund was set up to increase understanding of how best to improve people's financial capability. The £7 million fund will be available to organisations to help them pilot new approaches to improving financial capability and evaluate their projects. Funding will be available for the evaluation of existing interventions as well as piloting and evaluating new approaches. There will also be funding available to scale up existing programmes which have already demonstrated results to test the effectiveness of the project when reaching a wider group of people.

Sport NI: Active Awards For Sport
Active Awards is an exchequer funded small grants programme primarily aimed at grassroots community based sport. The programme aims to prioritise investment in sports clubs, community groups and governing bodies of sport, especially those based in areas of greatest need. Eligible groups can apply for grants from £1,000 – £10,000. Sport Northern Ireland’s Active Awards Programme seeks to prioritise the development of projects which contribute to addressing the continued under-representation in sport amongst Women and girls, people with a disability and people living in areas of greatest need.

Elephant Trust
The Trust was set up in 1975 to make it possible for artists and those presenting their work to undertake and complete projects when frustrated by lack of funds. It is committed to helping artists and institutions that depart from the routine and signal new, distinct and imaginative sets of possibilities. Grants have usually been limited to £2,000 but larger grants may be considered.

OneFamily Foundation: Community Awards
The OneFamily Foundation helps fund community projects chosen by their customers. OneFamily customers simply nominate their favourite local community project for a Community Award of up to £5,000 or up to £25,000. Approved projects are then entered into a public online vote, which determines the winners. Projects will therefore need to campaign and raise awareness of their nomination in the Community Awards to gain the most votes!

Social Enterprise Awards UK
The Social Enterprise Awards is a competition that aims to recognise and champion the vital work carried out by the most successful social enterprises in the UK.The Awards recognise organisations for their business excellence and contribution to society, as well as the achievements of people working at the heart of the social enterprise sector.

SEUPB: Regional Level Projects
The SEUPB has just published information on an upcoming funding call for the ‘Regional Level Projects’ objective of the EU’s PEACE IV Programme, which can be accessed via the SEUPB’s website .This €13.9million (ERDF) objective will increase promote positive relations characterised by respect, where cultural diversity is celebrated and people can live, learn and socialise together, free from prejudice, hate and intolerance.
