Some Updates for This Week

Greenhall Foundation

Funding to sustainably improve lives: among the sick, the elderly, the disabled and the disadvantaged particularly in the UK. Overseas projects are also supported provided that the applicant charity is registered in the UK.  Preference is given to appeals where the Foundation can meet a significant proportion of the funding required and where permanent equipment or building is required as opposed to funding salaries or the charity running costs. 

Community Foundation for NI: Made By Sport’s ‘Clubs In Crisis’ Fund (Opening 12th April 2021)

Managed in NI by the Community Foundation for NI, Made By Sport’s ‘Clubs In Crisis’ Fund offers one-off grants of £2,021 for sports clubs or organisations working within the sport for development sector (this includes any physical activity), which are able to demonstrate that the Covid-19 pandemic has adversely affected them, either operationally or financially, and which require funding to save, resume or adapt their activity.  Annual turnover must be under 75K.

The Fore

The Fore offers unrestricted grants of up to £30,000, which can be spread over up to 3 years and have the potential to have a transformational impact on an organisation.   Any registered charity, CIC, CIO or Community Benefit Society with turnover of under £500,000 in the last financial year is eligible to apply.

 

Some Key Dates for This Week

Hospital Saturday Fund (Deadline for Standard Grants of £2,000 or €3,000, 20th Apr 2021)

Set up in 1873, the Fund provides grants for individuals with a medical condition or disability who would benefit from assistance with the purchase of specialised equipment or from practical forms of treatment and registered health charities such as hospitals, hospices, medical organisations who are in need of grants for medical projects, care, research or support of medical training within the UK and RoI.

Jewish Child's Day (Application Deadline, 20th April 2021)

Supports disabled, disadvantaged, neglected or abused Jewish children worldwide by awarding financial grants of £500 to £5000 to organisations that have programs which help those children. Grants may be given for items of equipment or a specific project. 

The Baring Foundation: Funding for creativity, mental health and people from ethnically diverse backgrounds (Application Deadline: midday, Wednesday, 21st April 2021)

This new fund is designed to support activity to redress the under-representation of participatory artists from ethnically diverse communities in arts and mental health. Grants will be made to support this work of £10k - £40k. The work must take place in the UK.

The Big Give: The Green Match Fund (Campaign Opens (Midday, 22nd April 2021)

A match funding campaign for charities which are working on environmental issues as part of their core mission. All public donations made to participating charities via theBigGive.org.uk during the week of the campaign (22-29 April) will be matched up to a specific amount - either £2,500, £10,000 or £25,000. 

Groundwork NI: Whitemountain Programme (Application Deadline: 12 noon, Friday, 23rd April 2021)

Grants of up to £50,000 are available for projects making a positive impact at ground level, either developing facilities for community use or encouraging biodiversity and environmental improvements.
