Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council: Making Art in Communities (Mac)

Making Art in Communities Funding Programme (MAC) supports constituted community groups/organisations based in the Council area to participate in, develop or promote the Arts. Up to £1500 is available for any one organisation in each financial year.

Community Foundation for NI: Pressure Group Fund

Supports pressure groups. i.e. an organised group that doesn’t hold candidates for election, but seeks to influence and change government policy or legislation. (Also described as 'interest groups', 'lobby groups' or 'protest groups'.)  Up to £500 of initial investment with the possibility of a further £500 being made available within the financial year, if appropriate.

Telecommunity Fund

The Telecommunity Fund was established with capital from BT, management and unions. It exists to support small, locally based grass roots community projects with an annual income of less than £200,000. Grants range from £500 to £1,500.  Priority projects are those run by and for young people, project run by and for older people and projects for people with disabilities.

Key Dates for your Fundraising Diary

Ironmongers Foundation

Supports projects that provide opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people to fulfil their potential. Grants range from a few hundred pounds up to £10,000 with the average grant being £4,000.  Registered charities only.

Armourers and Brasiers' Gauntlet Trust: Grants for Small Charities

One-off grants in the range £500 to £1500 to UK registered charities working in one of the following five areas: Community or Armed Forces; Children, Youth or General Education; Health or Medical; the Arts, Arms or Armour; Christian Mission or Human Rights.  Will consider requests for funding for specific projects or for core costs.

War Memorials Trust Small Grants

Provide advice and information as well as running grant schemes for the repair and conservation of war memorials.  The Small Grants Scheme seeks to help communities who could not otherwise fund works required to facilitate repair and conservation works and act as a catalyst for action.
