NEW! Murlough Foundation

Managed by Community Foundation for NI, grants of up to £2,000 for work with a sustained beneficial impact on people who are excluded, or disadvantaged, through low income, rural or social isolation, age, disability or gender.  Priority for small, locally based groups, or those in areas of disadvantage, who understand the needs of their community and potential beneficiaries and who work to address these needs.

D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust

Funds UK registered charities operating in the UK in the fields of the advancement of the arts, health and medical welfare and environmental protection or improvement.  Grants usually in the range £500 - £5,000 and over a one-year period.

Westhill

Providesing financial investment and other resources to support formal and informal religious education projects and faith-motivated activities that enable people to transform their lives and the life of their communities.  Most grants are between £2,500 and £10,000.

Key Dates for your Fundraising Diary

Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA): Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme

Funded under the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affair’s Tackling Rural Poverty and Social Isolation Programme. The key aim is to assist in tackling poverty and social isolation within rural communities across NI. Micro Capital grants of between £200 and £1,500 are available to rural community-led, voluntary organisation.

UK Aid Direct:  Small Charities Challenge Fund (SCCF)

Open to small UK-registered charities and not-for-profit organisations with an annual income of £250,000 or less. Grants of up to £50,000 are available for projects of up to 2 years which strengthen the capacity of grassroots development organisations working with the poor, vulnerable and most marginalised to carry out work in priority countries and work towards achieving the SCCF Global Goals.

Rosa: Justice and Equality Fund

The Justice and Equality Fund aims to bring an end to the culture of harassment, abuse and impunity by resourcing an expert network of advice, support and advocacy organisations and projects.  There are 3 new programmes from the JEF.  Now’s the Time provides grants of 5K to 25K for individual organisations or 25K to 100K for partnership bids over 1-3 years.  Mostly for revenue costs and for new work or an extension of existing work
