Some Updates for This Week

Wellcome Trust: The Ideas Fund

A grants programme run by the British Science Association and funded by Wellcome, to enable the UK public to develop and try out ideas that address problems related to mental wellbeing. They're offering early stage grants of up to £25,000 and larger grants of around £90,000 in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, Hull, North West Northern Ireland, and Oldham.

D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust

Funds UK registered charities operating in the UK in the fields of the advancement of the arts, health and medical welfare and environmental protection or improvement.

The Henry Smith Charity - Christian Projects Grants

Provides grants to support projects that explicitly promote the Christian faith in the UK. They value projects that set out to nurture and grow people’s journey in Christian faith and grow churches, and only support work that comes from a Church of England context, or, that is fully ecumenical. Grant size £10k plus for up to 3 years.

Charity Digital (formerly tt-exchange Programme)

The Charity Digital programme  (formerly tt-exchange Programme) enables eligible charities to gain access to donated technology products. You can choose from over 140 products from Donor Partners such as Microsoft, Symantec, Cisco and Adobe. They aim to demonstrate how the effective use of technology can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of charities and voluntary organisations.

Commonwealth Foundation Grants

The Foundation offers grants of up to £200,000 over 4 years in support of innovative project ideas and approaches that seek to strengthen the ability of civic voices to engage with governments and that have the potential to improve governance and development outcomes through their active participation.

Some Key Dates for This Week

TBUC Camps (The Executive Office and Education Authority) (Extended Closing Date, 4pm, 26th February)

Provides funding for building positive relations and long lasting friendships among young people across all parts of our community. To be funded, camps must bring diverse groups together to get to know each other, try new experiences and help build longer term relationships between young people.  Good Relations learning must be at the heart of every Camp. 

The Inman Charity (NB Reopening in Spring 2021)

A small trust making annual distributions of over £325,000 in grants to a wide range of UK registered charities.  Focuses on medical research, care of older people, general welfare, hospices, deafness and blindness, care of the physically & mentally disabled and the Armed Forces.

KFC Foundation: Community Grants Programme (Closing Date, 28th February)

Provides grants of £200 - £2,000 to support grassroots organisations in the heart of their restaurant’s communities. Funds organisations empowering young people in the UK to fulfil their potential by providing safe social spaces, mentoring or work, and social skills.

National Churches Trust: Cornerstone Grants (Application Deadline, 1st March)

Offers grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 towards the cost of urgent structural repair projects costed at more than £100,000 including VAT. The Trust will also consider projects that introduce kitchens and accessible toilets to enable increased community use, costed at more than £30,000 including VAT.
