Funding news this week

Henry Smith Trust – Changes to Holiday Grants programme

Grants of up to £2500 for recreational trips for groups of children aged 13 and under in the UK who are disabled or disadvantaged. The Trust has made temporary changes this year due to impacts from the pandemic. Day trips rather than residential holidays will now be funded.

National Churches Trust funding for capital projects:

  • The Gateway Grant Programme offers grants to churches ranging between £3,000 and £10,000 for Christian places of worship towards repairs, maintence and building projects. Northern Ireland is one of the priority areas.
  • Treasure Ireland funding targets Christian places of worship in Northern Ireland with grants ranging from £500 to £10,000 for church maintenance and urgent repair work.

Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council offers financial assistance 

Funding available for eligible groups in the community, voluntary and social enterprise sector covering running costs, programmes and events. Applications are open until 12noon on Friday 2 July 2021. Virtual Information Sessions to support applicants arranged for:

  • Monday 21st June – 2pm
  • Tuesday 22nd June – 7pm
  • Wednesday 23rd June – 2pm

Antrim and Newtonabbey Borough Council leisure funding now open

Funding for sports facilities, sports events, purchasing defibrillators, and grants for clubs, coaches and officials, and athletes.

The Ultach Fund/An Ciste Ultach - Irish language funding

Grants of up to £2,000  for those across Northern Ireland wishing to use and promote the Irish language.

 

 Upcoming deadlines

Department for Communities (Via Co-Operation Ireland): Small Capital Grant

The fund promotes Partnership and Collaboration within the voluntary and Community sector. Available grants vary dependent on the number of partners within the application:

  • 2 partner groups = can apply for up to £1,500
  • 3 – 4 partner groups = can apply for up to £3,500
  • 5+ partner groups = can apply for up to maximum £5,000

Closing date: 25 June at 12pm

Northern Ireland Screen: Ulster Scots Broadcast Fund

The Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund (USBF) is seeking digital content projects. The projects should be aimed at supporting learning about aspects of Ulster-Scots such as language, culture and heritage.

Closing date: 28 June 

Poundland Foundation: Kits-for-Kids

Community groups can apply for one of 250 grants of up to £750 each to provide kits or equipment for local kids' sports teams.

Closing date: 30 June

Triangle Trust: 1949 Fund

Funding for the needs of young carers and young people caught up in the criminal justice system. Grants of up to £60,000 over two years are available (a maximum of £30,000 per year can be requested).

Closing date: 30 June
