Funding news this week
3 new funds from Community Foundation for NI
CFNI have opened 3 new funds:
- The Cancer Charities’ Support Fund - £30,000 to £1 million funding for charities to provide a wide range of support services for cancer patients throughout NI, and will cover key areas in the cancer pathway; from pre-diagnosis, through to palliative and end of life care.
- Carers’ Support Fund - Grant of between £2,000 and £75,000 to support organisations working for and with carers, over the next three years.
- Housing and Homelessness Innovation & Voice Fund - Grants of £15,000 to £25,000 to support new or improved solutions to some of the root causes of housing issues and homelessness in Northern Ireland.
PHA Making Life Better through Short term funding programme
Funding of up to £5,000 is available to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities, with a particular focus on improving mental and emotional wellbeing.
Coca-Cola Thank You Fund 2021 Open for Applications
Funding of up to €10,000 is available to youth-orientated non-profit groups committed to helping young people develop the skills they need to succeed in a post pandemic environment.
Asda Foundation launches new grants programme
Through the Bringing Communities Back Together fund, grants of between £250 and £1,000 are available to either get activities back on track such as gardening clubs, lunch clubs and recreational activities; hold a get-together event such as a welcome back party or community celebration; or a combination of the two.
Upcoming deadlines
Department for Communities (DfC): Historic Environment Fund - Roof Repair Stream
The fund provides up to £5,000 per roof, or £10,000 per thatched roof for the repair of roofs on listed buildings other than churches.
Closing date: 21 June at 5pm
Bank of Ireland: Begin Together Arts Fund
Funding to support or commissions artists and arts organisations to develop arts projects that engage the individuals, audiences and communities involved.
Closing date: 23 June at 5pm
Do It Now Now - Common Call: Fund 2
Unrestricted grants of £5,000 or £12,500 available to Black-led charities and social enterprises disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 in the UK.
Closing date: 25 June at 5pm
Department for Communities (Via Co-Operation Ireland): Small Capital Grant
A £950,000 fund to support partnerships of grassroots voluntary and community organisations to purchase items of equipment that will enhance the activities and services they provide to the local community.
Closing date: 25 June at 12noon
OFCOM Community Radio Fund
A total of £400,000 funding is available to support the core costs of running Ofcom-licensed community radio stations in the UK that are currently broadcasting.
Closing date: 25 June at 5pm
