Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Fund for Belfast

As part of the celebrations to mark HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, SP&R committee agreed at its February 2022 meeting to funding of £100,000 for events to take place in local communities across the city over the Platinum Jubilee weekend. This fund will be administered by the Community Foundation NI, with a maximum of £2,000 for any eligible group.

Live Here Love Here: Platinum Jubilee Pollinator Garden Award

As part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022, Live Here Love Here is administering an Award to a group or partnership to create a bespoke community pollinator garden as a legacy of the occasion. The Award is being wholly provided by the Department of Environment, Agriculture and Rural Affairs and managed by the Live Here Love Here programme. Funding of £100,000 will be awarded to one group or partnership to build a bespoke garden for people and pollinators, creating a positive legacy for future generations.

The Fore

For its Spring 2022 funding round The Fore is offering 6-18 month grants of up to £15,000. They make unrestricted grants which have the potential to have a transformational impact on an organisation. Transformational impact includes helping organisations become more sustainable, more efficient, to grow significantly or enabling an organisation to take a major step forward of some kind. Opens for registration at 10am on 19 April 2022.

Leathersellers Company Charitable Fund

The Fund’s Small Grant Programme is a fast-track grant assessment for one-off grants of up to £3,000 for funding small projects or to cover unexpected expenses. In 2021-22, they will consider applications from charities registered and operating in the UK (including Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIO) but not Community Interest Companies (CIC)). Opens to applications 11 April 2022.

Cardfactory: Community Grant Fund

Card Factory Foundation will support projects and charitable causes to benefit the communities of our colleagues and stores. Grants are available up to £2500. The Charity Trustees’ current funding priorities are to provide support, financial or otherwise towards hardship caused by life changing events; provide support, financial or otherwise to projects that improve lives; and community projects which take place for Card Factory colleagues and or communities where Card Factory stores trade. Proposals welcomed from not-for-profit organisations, community groups and individuals based in the United Kingdom.

Benefact Trust (formerly Allchurches Trust)

Benefact Trust, a new name and brand, exists to make a positive difference to people's lives by funding, guiding and celebrating the work of churches and Christian charities; empowering the most vulnerable and giving people, communities and places a renewed opportunity to flourish. The Benefact Group, owned by Benefact Trust, includes Ecclesiastical funding schemes Movement for Good and Movement for Good: 12 Days of Giving.

ESB Community Fund

The Wind Farm Community Funds initiative was established by ESB Group with the intention of helping communities neighbouring ESB wind farms to become more sustainable through the support of positive local initiatives and activities. The initiative seeks to address current and emerging issues, needs and opportunities within communities, enriching lives and creating brighter possibilities for local residents. 

Extended deadline 12pm(noon) on 31 March 2022

Belfast City Council Small Grants

Small grants include: Good relations grant; Support for sport - large development, small development, hospitality, event; community development medium and micro grants.

All Small Grants have deadline of 12pm(noon) on 4 April 2022.

Grow Wild: Community Project Funding

Grow Wild is offering grants of £2000 to five groups from across the UK who would like to help them make positive changes by transforming an urban space through planting and taking positive actions for nature.

Deadline 10am on 4 April 2022

Live here love here: Climate Challenge Fund

The Climate Challenge Fund, which can provide a maximum of £5,000 to each applicant, forms part of the £477,000 that Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful received from the UK Community Renewal fund to facilitate a greater local response to the threat of runaway climate change. The overall aim of the project is to (a) educate the wider community about climate change through free Carbon Literacy Programmes training, in order to (b) empower and inspire civic action that can help Northern Ireland tackle the climate emergency.

Deadline 8 April 2022.
