National Churches Trust Programmes
Supporting a variety of churches, chapels and meeting houses across the United Kingdom, their grants are available to any Christian place of worship in the UK that is open for regular worship. Large grants of up to £50,000 available towards the cost of major urgent structural repair projects costed at more than £80,000 including VAT – next deadline 5 November (midnight). Medium grants of between £3,000 and £10,000 - next deadline 17 December (midnight). Small grants usually £500 to £5,000 – next deadline 30 August (midnight). Treasure Island offers Northern Ireland places of worship funding of between £500 and £10,000 for church maintenance or urgent repair work – next deadline 2 September (midnight).
Sport NI: Project Creating Opportunities
Project Creating Opportunities is the next phase of funding to connect communities, enabling more people to take part in sport and physical activity throughout Northern Ireland. Match funding, of up to £5,000, aims to help the sports sector ‘level the playing field’ for constituted sports club which are affiliated to a governing body of sport which is recognised by Sport NI OR Sport Ireland.. This is a Crowdfunding scheme where applicants should focus particularly on people from at least one of the following priority groups: Women & girls; People with disabilities; Children & young people – especially those aged between 11-18 years; Older people aged over 50; Ethnically diverse communities; LGBTQ+ community; People living in areas of greatest need (based on NISRA postcode, quartile1); and People living in rural areas (based on NISRA postcode). Application deadline 27 January 2025.
Radcliffe Trust grants for Music and Heritage & Crafts
The Radcliffe Trust’s Music Grants supports classical music performance and training, especially chamber music, composition and music education. Grants are generally in the region of £2,500-£7,500. Their Heritage & Crafts grants support the development of the skills, knowledge and experience that underpin the UK’s cultural heritage and crafts sectors. Grants are generally in the region of £2,500-£7,500. Next deadline 31 January 2025.
The National Lottery Community Fund: Sustainable Community Buildings
Grants of up to £50,000 are available to help organisations reduce their carbon footprint and save on energy bills through improvements such as solar panels. They'll be open for applications from 11 September 2024 to 23 October 2024 for: Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Derry City and Strabane District Council, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council or Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. Those applying can complete free carbon literacy training and work with experts on an environment plan.
Thomas Wall Trust: Grants for Registered Charities
They are an inclusive charity, welcoming proposals which target people experiencing multiple deprivation or other groups demonstrably facing major hurdles to employment, especially women, people with physical, mental, or learning disabilities and refugees. The Trust offers grants up to £5,000 for specific projects rather than general organisational costs* that improves communication skills for disadvantaged adults and supports NEET people into employment. Beneficiaries must gain at least one accredited vocational qualification during delivery. *Pro-rata staffing and operational costs will be considered where appropriate. Next deadline 16 September 2024.

Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council: Revenue Grants 2024-25 – Call 3
They offer three calls for revenue grants each year inviting groups to apply for funding towards events, programmes of activity, and core running costs (for eligible organisations). Funding is available through the following grant programmes: Community Grants, Arts, Culture and Events Grants, and Good Relations Grants. Deadline 13 September 2024 (noon).
Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council: Policing & Community Safety Small Grants Programme
The Causeway Coast and Glens Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) Small Grants Programme has been designed to support, promote and develop community safety initiatives throughout the council area. Causeway Coast and Glens Borough PCSP will fund up to a maximum of £999 for eligible projects per year. Next deadline 30 August 2024 (noon).
Shared Island Coast-to-Coast Capital Investment Scheme 2024
The Coast-to-Coast Capital Investment Scheme is a new initiative designed to enhance interpretive visitor experiences at existing attractions across the island of Ireland. This scheme is a collaboration between Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Northern Ireland and Tourism Ireland. As part of the Shared Island Tourism Brand Collaboration Project, the scheme aims to create seamless travel and unforgettable experiences between two iconic routes: the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland and the Causeway Coastal Route in Northern Ireland. The Scheme is targeted at eligible geographic areas on the Wild Atlantic Way comprising Counties Donegal, Sligo and parts of Leitrim, and on the Causeway Coastal Route comprising the Local Authority Areas of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, and Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. Minimum award £50,000. Deadline 30 August 2024 (3pm).
The 2025 GSK IMPACT Awards are open to registered charities that are at least three years old, working in a health-related field in the UK, with a total annual income between £150,000 and £3 million. Up to ten winners will receive £40,000, with one overall winner receiving an additional £10,000. Up to five runners-up will receive £4,000. The awards are designed to recognise success and achievements for existing work – you do not need to present a new project. Award winners will also be offered: training and development valued at an average of £13,500 per organisation, support with press and publicity, a range of resources to help promote their work, such as short films and photography, and pro bono offers from GSK including 12 months of legal support. Deadline 30 August 2024 (5pm).
The Fermanagh Recreational Trust supports the organisation, development and funding of sporting activities and facilities in Co. Fermanagh with particular emphasis on young people and youth development. Constituted Sporting and or Arts Organisations or Individuals based in County Fermanagh. Next deadline 31 August 2024 (5pm).
