Natural History Museum: Interconnected Programme Open

The Interconnected Programme funds UK museums and cultural practitioners to deliver activities exploring the planetary emergency. The second round of Interconnected is now open for applications. In this round, there are two grant opportunities to apply for: Generation Hope and Light Touch. There are three grants of £2,500 and £3,000 to be awarded under each opportunity. Applications are open across the UK and they are particularly interested to receive proposals from Northern Ireland or Wales, or projects that respond to the theme of Our Health. Application Deadline: 9am BST Monday, 30th June 2025.

Arts Council NI: New Small Grants Programme

The New Small Grants Programme, funded by support from the Department for Communities, aims to encourage greater participation in the arts; and to increase equality of access to and opportunities in the arts across all Section 75 groupings. You can apply for an amount between £500 and £5,000 for a project. They welcome applications from the widest possible range of organisations. You will be required to provide proof that you have a legal constitution. Application Deadline: 12 noon, Friday 18th July 2025.

The Naturesave Trust May - June Funding Window is Open

The Naturesave Trust supports environmental projects across the UK. The theme for this funding window is nature connection and offers grants between £500 and £5,000. The Trust focuses on small projects for charities, social enterprises and grassroots community organisations whose activities are based within the UK. Next Application Deadline: 12pm, 15th July 2025.

Material Focus: Circular Electricals Fund

The £1m Circular Electricals Fund supports new ideas and innovative approaches aimed at keeping electricals and their materials in use for longer, and reducing e-waste. If you’re working on sustainable electricals, circular product design, or technology that cuts waste and carbon, they want to hear from you. This Fund aims to support industry bodies, start-ups, non-profits, companies and research institutions exploring new, innovative or significantly improved initiatives that apply and develop circular economy principles, reducing environmental impact and enhancing resource efficiency. Offering funding of up to £150,000 per project. Closing Date: 14th August 2025.

Co-op Foundation: Future Communities Fund launches in May

The second round of the Future Communities Fund is focusing on supporting organisations that are helping young people with experience of the youth justice system to re-build their lives and settle back into their communities. In this £1.75 million programme round, they’re looking to fund approximately ten organisations. Grants will be awarded on an unrestricted basis and to a maximum value of £150,000 over five years. Closing Date: Midday, Monday 16th June 2025.

Women's Health Community Fund

The Women's Health Community Fund is designed to support small grassroots organisations and community groups to deliver important health information and support to women, girls and people from underrepresented communities. Applicants are invited to apply for up to £5,000 to spend in a 12 month period. Funds will be distributed in two tranches, 50% at the beginning of the project and 50% upon receipt of a 6 month report. Activities must focus on women’s health in one of the following areas; periods, menstrual health, perimenopause and menopause. Activities should aim to improve health outcomes through promoting positive and healthy conversations, knowledge sharing, education and/or training. Application Deadline: 15 June 2025.

Benefact Group: Movement for Good Partnership Funding 

They are now accepting Expressions of Interest for their Partnership Funding. They know how incredibly challenging and time-consuming the grant funding process is for charities, so they're taking a simpler approach. They’re interested in a short pitch from any eligible charity*, but they’ll only ask charities to complete a full application if they fit what they’re looking to fund. This funding supports eligible charities working in: Education and Skills, Arts and Heritage, or Climate Change and Environment. Complete your Expression of Interest by midnight Friday 20 June. They will invite applications in July and distribute funds typically in the Autumn.

Upcoming Deadlines

Asda Foundation Local Community Spaces Fund

This year ASDA Foundation will be investing over £1 Million through their Local Community Spaces fund. This funding is available to community groups throughout the UK to provide a safe space for people to meet and be together. To be eligible to apply for this fund, your community space must be an accessible place where members of the community can interact, seek support and access a variety of services and activities. Grants range from £10,000 to £20,000. Application Deadline: 10am, Wednesday 28th May 2025.

Arts & Business NI: Investment Programme

Through the Investment Programme, Arts & Business NI invests in mutually beneficial partnerships between businesses and the arts. They aim to increase private sector investment into the arts by supporting arts organisations in developing sustainable relationships with business. Through the support of the Investment Programme, they encourage business and arts partnerships to try a new creative approach or to deepen an existing relationship. They can award up to £15,000 match-funding to the lead arts partner in a financial year; a partnership can receive investment a maximum of 2 times. Next Application Deadline: 30th May 2025.

The Pink Ribbon Foundation Grants

The Pink Ribbon Foundation provides grants of up to £6,000 for practical projects and initiatives, which aim to help registered charities to deliver good physical and mental health to individuals with, and recovering from breast cancer. The Pink Ribbon Foundation funds projects and initiatives that make a direct impact on individuals with breast cancer in the UK. Your application should relate to a specific project, not 'business as usual' or core costs. Application Deadline: Friday 30th May 2025.

TESCO and easyfundraising: The £5,000 community pledge

Tesco and easyfundraising have come together again to give a little help to voluntary groups, charities and CICs this May. As part of their community pledge, Tesco will donate five £1,000 funding pots to community organisations across the UK who are using easyfundraising. Register your organisation by 31st May 2025.

Henry Moore Foundation

Henry Moore Grants support the growth and development of sculpture across historical, modern and contemporary registers, and funds research that expands the appreciation of sculpture. These aims are achieved through specific projects initiated by the Foundation and by giving grant aid to primarily not-for-profit organisations. Henry Moore Grants welcome applications from non-profit organisations, based in the UK or internationally. You can apply for a grant in support of exhibitions, exhibition catalogues, commissions, conferences, research, publications and the development of collections through acquisitions, conservation, cataloguing and display. Grants range from £2,500 to £20,000. Spring Closing Date: 23:00, 1st June 2025.

National Churches Trust: Treasure Ireland

National Churches Trust' s Treasure Ireland offers your place of worship funding of between £500 and £10,000 for church maintenance or urgent repair work. They will consider applications from listed and unlisted Christian places of worship, of any denomination, that are located in Northern Ireland. The Grants Programme can offer between £500 and £10,000 to Places of Worship in Northern Ireland for urgent and essential maintenance and repair projects costing up to £100,000 (incl. VAT). Application Deadline: Midnight, Monday 2nd June 2025.

Charity finance for charity finance workers 

4 June 2025 - 10:00am to 12:15pm; £55 NICVA members, £80 non-members

An online training session specifically designed for staff or volunteers who work in the administration of finance within a charity. This session will give participants an opportunity to delve a bit deeper into the more technical aspects of charity finance.

Information session on new Code of Fundraising Practice - Fundraising Regulator

12 June 2025 - 12:00 to 1:00pm; FREE

Online information session about the new Code of Fundraising Practice delivered by The Fundraising Regulator (FR). The Fundraising Regulator will soon publish its new Code of Fundraising Practice.  The new code, which has been shaped by extensive public consultation, represents a clearer, more flexible, and modern approach to fundraising regulation. This session will provide an opportunity for charities, fundraisers, volunteers and Trustees to find out more about the new code and the support available ahead of its implementation later this year.
