Greggs Foundation: Community Grants Programme
The Greggs Foundation is pleased to announce that their next round of funding will be opening up to organisations within the district of Belfast City Council. The Greggs Foundation Community Grants programme recognises the essential role of local organisations in tackling the challenges facing communities. They offer core funding grants to community organisations across the UK of up to £20,000 per year for two years. To receive a Greggs Foundation Community Grant you must be a not-for-profit organisation that is addressing direct needs in the local community, providing food and support for individuals, reducing social isolation and widening networks, and/or building knowledge, confidence and opportunities. Closing date 12noon on 22 August.
The Housing Executive - Sustaining Tenancies
Tranche 3 of the Sustaining Tenancies Grant Funding Programme opens on 21 July. It is for constituted groups within the community, voluntary and charitable sector operating in Northern Ireland supporting projects and activities that promote the welfare and comfort of Housing Executive tenants including the provision of objects/services which may help them to sustain/manage a tenancy successfully. It is for funding for projects lasting up to 36 months, requiring funding between £5,000 and £100,000 over the full lifetime of the project. Applications must be submitted by Friday 8 August at 12 noon.
Institute of Physics (IOP) Public Engagement Grant Scheme
The Public Engagement Grant Scheme (PEGS) aims to support the IOP Limit Less initiative by funding projects that meaningfully engage whole family groups (including parents/carers) to improve their relationship with physics. Main Fund offers a minimum grant award of £500 up to £4,000 to run physics-based activities in the UK and Ireland. Application deadline is 17.00 on 1 September 2025.
CatalyseHer, powered by INCO and supported by Visa Foundation, accelerates the growth of early-stage women-led businesses with a focus on social and environmental impact in the UK. This three-year initiative will provide 500 women entrepreneurs with micro-grants of £5,000, alongside training and community-building support to help them grow their businesses and become investment-ready. Deadline for this cohort is 7 September 2025. This scheme has now expanded to the Republic of Ireland. For more information on this scheme visit here.
Council of Europe: European Youth Foundation
The European Youth Foundation (EYF), established by the Council of Europe, provides financial and educational support for European youth activities. Youth NGOs based in any of their member countries (includes UK) can for activities supporting funding priorities of revitalising pluralistic democracy, young people’s access to rights, living together in peaceful and inclusive societies, and youth work including non-formal education. Apply for international activities (max. €25,000), annual work plans (max. €60,000), and structural grants (max. €30, 000 per year for 2 years) – Next deadline 1 October 2025. Pilot activity projects also available again in 2026 offering max. €15,000.
Alzheimer’s Research UK: Inspire Fund
The Inspire Fund provides funding for projects that engage underserved communities with the topic of brain health and reducing the risk of dementia.
The seed funding call is open to new applicants to the Inspire Fund. They particularly encourage collaborative applications, and those that build relationships between communities and researchers. They are particularly interested in receiving applications from the Devolved nations - Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales and select areas of England. Grant amount of £5,000.
Upcoming Deadlines
Irish Youth Foundation (UK) inviting applications
Community and voluntary groups in Northern Ireland working with children and young people who are marginalised or at risk to apply for grants of up to £10,000 (usually in the region of £5,000). Use funding for expanding existing activities, employing mploy additional staff, equipment, evaluations, report publishing, improving organisational capacity or something new/different. Applications will only be considered for projects supporting under 25s in Northern Ireland. Deadline 28th July 2025.
Asda Foundation: Foodbank Fundamentals
Foodbank Fundamentals is a grant specifically for organisations whose core purpose is to distribute food and alleviate food poverty in their local community. If you are a foodbank or food service provider that needs to stock up on food, invest in equipment to expand your reach, or support the delivery of your services, the Foodbank Fundamentals Fund is here to help. There is up to £400,000 worth of funding available with this grant. Grants of £750 only. Application deadline 29 July (10am) – may close earlier if demand is high.
James Brown & Sons Community Fund
The Community Fund benefits the local communities in the heart of Belfast and the surrounding areas within two miles of an area in a James Brown & Sons operate. Constituted community groups, registered charities, social enterprises, CICs Limited by Guarantee, and faith based groups can request the total cost of the project or a contribution towards the project up to a maximum of £2000 that focuses on Health, Education, Employment opportunities, and/or Poverty/Social Deprivation. Deadline 27 July 2025.
The Fore announced that it is increasing its maximum grant size from £30,000 to £45,000, with effect from the Autumn 2025 funding round. Grants are offered to organisations looking to strengthen and increase internal capacity, support growth or achieve greater sustainability. The Fore also provides additional support to enable organisations to achieve these transformational changes. Eligible organisation with an annual income of less than £500k must register by 29 July 2025 (12pm noon) to be invited to apply.
Benefact Group: Movement for Good Awards £1000 draws
The Movement for Good Awards is an annual programme of giving, set up by all the businesses that make up the Benefact Group. A registered charity, not-for-profit organisation or community interest company in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man can be nominated to receive £1000 in draws held 6 times over the year. Once nominated, organisations are included in the remaining £1000 draws in 2025. Nominate by 23:59 27 July 2025 for the 28 July 2025 draw.
