Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA): Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme

This Scheme, funded under the Department’s Tackling Rural Poverty and Social Isolation (TRPSI) Programme, offers Micro Capital grants of between £500 and £2,000 to rural community-led, voluntary organisations for projects tackling issues of local poverty and / or social isolation. Tranche 2 is open for applications from 11 November 2024 until 5 December 2024 12pm midday.

Naturewatch Foundation: Pet Rescue Grant changing for 2025

Naturewatch Foundation’s Pet Rescue Grant supports UK animal rescue charities working with dogs, cats and/or rabbits who have been affected by the illegal pet trade. A main grant of £10,000 is available annually to UK-registered charities and Community Interest Companies (CICs) with an annual income of up to £5 million. A mini grant of £1,000 is available to unincorporated non-profits, including unregistered charities and community groups. Applications open on 24th January annually for four weeks. Next application window runs from 24th January 2025 to 21st February 2025, with recipient(s) announced in April 2025.

Cash4Clubs Extends Application Deadline to 12 December 2024

Cash4Clubs is a grant programme funded by Flutter UK & Ireland, part of Flutter Entertainment, the global sports betting, gaming and entertainment provider. For this reason, groups must be delivering activities to adults (18+) with priority given to applications focused on 18 to 25 year olds. Administered by Sported, grants of £2000 (€2000 in Ireland) are available for community organisations working with adults from under-represented communities, delivering sport or physical activity for social purpose.

Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon (ABC) Borough Council grants closing soon

Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council is offering financial assistance to eligible groups in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. Funding is available through the following grant programmes Community Grants, Arts, Culture and Events Grants, and Good Relations Grants. Grants range from up to £1,000 to up to £15,000.

Arts & Business: Blueprint 2 now open

Blueprint is Arts & Business NI’s financial resilience programme, which has the ambition to help strengthen the arts sector in Northern Ireland for the future. In its second round, 10 cultural organisations will be selected to take part through the application process. This round of the programme will span three years and participants will receive comprehensive training and mentoring in areas including, finance, fundraising, business models, and governance. The programme also offers a range of investment grants, which are open for flexible use by the recipient organisation to invest in a way that best encourages growth and stability. Opened 11 November 2024 until 29 November 2024 (noon).

Training and Equipment Grant for Sports Clubs

The Clear Project, in conjunction with the Public Health Agency, are offering constituted, voluntary sector sports clubs in the Western Trust area the opportunity to avail of training which will help them support their members and get £500 worth of relevant sports equipment for the club. Deadline 20 November 2024 (3pm).

Scott Bader: Commonwealth Global Charity Fund

The Scott Bader is owned by their colleagues and each year a percentage of their income is donated to support charitable activities and projects around the world. Registered charities operating for 2+ years can apply. First time applicants are recommended to apply for between £2,000 and £4,000. For 2024 they are focusing on work of charities situated near to their locations addressing Education, Poverty, and Environmental matters. Window 4 deadline 22 November 2024.

Ards & North Down Borough Council: Tourism Events and Festivals Fund

Appropriately constituted not for profit organisations, including Limited Companies and Charities can apply for up to £15,000 for events and festivals attracting over 500 participants. Deadline 25 November 2024 (noon).

Sport NI: Sports Systems Investment - New Governing Bodies

Sports Systems Investment – New Governing Bodies is a funding programme specifically targeting Recognised sports organisations who have not been eligible to apply for funding through the Sports System Investment – Governing Bodies element of National Lottery funding this year. A total programme budget of £150,000 is currently available for sports governing bodies to apply for, up to a maximum individual award of £20,000. Deadline 29 November 2024 (1pm).

BGF Foundation Partnership Grants 2024/25

The BGF Foundation provides multi-year, flexible funding and pro bono expertise to growing charities who support young people. They look to support charities that have plans to scale their impact and focus on charities working with young people in the areas of education, employment, enterprise, mental health, and physical wellbeing. Grants will be £100k, distributed over two years. They expect to award 4-5 grants in this round. EOI submission deadline 5pm on 29 November 2024.

Meet the Funder: Rosa – Voices from the Frontline Programme

26 November 2024 - 10:00am to 11:00am

In this free online event, you’ll meet some of Rosa’s grants team and learn more about the eligibility criteria and how to apply to their Voices from the Frontline Programme. The Programme offers grants of up to £10,000 over 18 months to women’s and girls’ organisations to support campaigning and influencing work that enables women and girls to use their voice to achieve change.

Developing a Case for Support

28 November 2024, 10am to 1pm; In-person at NICVA

Cost: £55 (NICVA Members) or £70 (non-NICVA members)

Described as your written argument as to why you deserve to be funded, a compelling Case for Support can be a powerful tool to secure funding. This 3-hour session in NICVA aims to support those responsible for fundraising within voluntary and community organisations and who are unfamiliar with the use of Cases for Support in their work.
