Baring Foundation: Strengthening Civil Society

Their new funding aims to support legal action that addresses racial injustice in the criminal justice system  and sits under their Strengthening Civil Society (SCS) programme which supports the effective use of the law and human rights-based approaches by civil society in the United Kingdom. Grants are available for legal action addressing racial injustice - with a focus on police in schools, repression of protest and challenging legislation which disproportionately criminalises racialised people. Grants of up to £50,000 for up to 18 months or up to £90,000 over three years are available. Stage 1 of the application process is to arrange a telephone to discuss suitability; deadline 30 May 2025.

Air Ambulances UK: AAUK Improving Outcomes Fund

Air Ambulances UK is proud to launch the AAUK Improving Outcomes Fund, a dedicated initiative designed to support air ambulance patients, their loved ones, and the crews who respond to life-threatening emergencies. Air Ambulance charities will be able to apply for grants ranging from £5,000 to £25,000 to fund initiatives that improve patient outcomes and crew wellbeing. More information on how to apply, and application dates, will be updated on their webpage as soon as possible.

BBC Children in Need to pause grant applications

BBC Children in Need have announced they are to pause applications to their grants programmes for four months in April. As part of their ongoing commitment to improving their systems and processes, BBC Children in Need are transitioning to a new grantmaking system. This transition will take place throughout 2025, and they will launch the new system by the end of September. During this period there will be some disruption to their grant programmes. BBC Children in Need will be unable to accept new Expressions of Interest applications after 15th April 2025 (23:59) until they launch their new grantmaking system September 2025. Read more here.

Parkinson's UK: Physical Activity Grants

This grants programme aims to help people with Parkinson's to become and stay active. Grants of a minimum of £500 up to £3,000 to support physical activity projects for people with Parkinson's all over the UK. They encourage projects that will reach and engage with a wide range of people with Parkinson’s, especially those who may be from the following groups: Newly diagnosed, Young onset, People and groups seen as ‘under represented’ - including socially isolated, ethnic communities or those that are not digitally connected, People who are not engaged with Parkinson’s UK, People who are inactive, or active at low levels, and People who are still working. It is a rolling programme, and applications will be accepted until all of the funding has been allocated.

Communities for Afghans Scheme - phase 2

The UK Government is inviting applications for this grant with the aim of partnering with one or more Voluntary and Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE) Principal Sponsors to lead phase 2 of the Communities for Afghans scheme. Communities for Afghans phase 2 aims to accommodate 500 Afghan families (approximately 2,750 individuals) on the Afghan Resettlement Programmes by the end of March 2031. The aim is to provide households with the tools that they need to integrate into society and promote cohesion between families and their local communities so that they can participate fully in UK life. A total fund of £4.145 million for Principal Sponsors which will be split between successful applicants across financial years 2025/2026 and 2030/2031. Deadline 10 April 2025.

Grow Wild: Youth Project Funding

Every year, Grow Wild supports young people, communities, individuals and organisations through their grant programmes. This scheme offers funding of £500 for young people aged 14-25 to lead a project that celebrates UK native wildflowers and fungi in exciting and engaging ways. Whether you're into sowing or sewing, photography or video making, science or cooking... if you've got an idea, they want to hear from you. You can apply as an individual or as a group of up to 6 people. Deadline 3pm, 19 March 2025.

Building the Community Pharmacy Partnership (BCPP)

Building the Community-Pharmacy Partnership (BCPP) is a regional community development programme funded by the Department of Health (DoH), and developed and delivered by CDHN. BCPP’s aim is to reduce health inequalities by focusing on the social determinants of health, in particular social support, community connections and access to healthcare through community pharmacy, and by enabling project participants and the community and pharmacy partners to consider the social factors that impact health (e.g. poverty, housing, and social isolation). Funding range up to £2,500 and £12,000. Round 48, Level 2 deadline 20 March 2025. 

Safefood: Community Food Initiatives Programme

Safefood is inviting applications for funding for its Community Food Initiatives programme 2025-28. The Community Food Initiatives programme empowers people in low-income communities to make healthier food choices. Safefood is currently looking for organisations on the island of Ireland with experience working with target groups and local partners to apply for funding. Deadline 21 March 2025. 

Imperial Community Impact Fund

Imperial Polythene is proud to announce the launch of the Imperial Community Impact Fund, an initiative designed to support local community groups and charities committed to making a positive difference. With an annual fund of £10,000, this grant scheme offers up to £1,000 per project. Their goal is to support initiatives that drive meaningful change, whether it's through environmental conservation, creative community engagement, or solving pressing local issues. The fund is open for submissions twice a year, in January and July. Round 2 deadline 5pm, 20 March 2025.

Community Foundation for NI: RTÉ Toy Show Appeal Community Grants

The RTÉ Toy Show Appeal mission is: Inspired by children, we work to bring the magic of the Late Late Toy Show to every child in Ireland. This year the Appeal raised over €4,800,000 which will be distributed through the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal Grant Rounds in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Funding essential support, health, wellbeing, play and creativity they aim to change children’s lives for good. Registered children’s charities can apply for Community grants up to £10,000 and Impact grants up to £35,000 will be awarded. Deadline 1pm, 21 March 2025.
