The National Garden Scheme: Community Gardens Grants
The National Garden Scheme set up this award scheme in memory of Elspeth Thompson, the much-loved garden writer and journalist who died in 2010. Eligible community garden projects from England, Wales and Northern Ireland are welcome to apply for grants of between £1,500 and £5,000. Applications for 2027 Community Garden Grants will be open between 29 September and 12noon on 30 October 2026.
Triangle Trust 1949 Fund is delighted to announce their second funding round in September which will support projects working with young women aged 17-30. Organisations with relevant experience of working with girls in the criminal justice system and who can demonstrate age, gender, trauma and culturally responsive approaches are eligible. Grants of up to £100,000 for a duration of 18, 24, 30 or 36 months with a maximum request of £50,000 per year. Expressions of Interest open on 10 September 2026 and close on 15 October 2026. Shortlisted organisations will then be invited to submit a full application.
Paul Hamlyn Foundation: Teacher Development Fund
Supporting primary school teachers to develop arts-based approaches which create equitable classrooms where all children learn and thrive. In equal partnership with arts organisations, the scheme enables each partner to exchange and enrich their expertise with funding of up to £165,000 per application. Applications for the 2026 round will open 31 August and close on 11 November 2026.
Aviva Foundation: Financial Futures Fund
The Aviva Foundation’s Financial Futures Fund provides multi-year, grant-funding. With the minimum grant size of £100,000. The Fund runs a bi-annual, application process to identify and support organisations driving transformational change in financial resilience. It is open to medium and large organisations supporting UK beneficiaries with an annual income over £1 million. Deadline 7 October 2026.
The Foundation will consider applications aligned to its mission “to progress and facilitate education and career opportunities” with activity falling into one or both of the following themes: Theme 1 – enabling STEM related education and career opportunities and/or Theme 2 – enabling students to make informed choices between employment/career and higher-level education pathways. Open to education bodies including schools, colleges and third level institutions, employers including private sector companies, and charities and social enterprises.. Expression of Interest forms will soon be made available from The James Kane Foundation website and will be accepted by the grants team from 1st September until 12noon on 16th October 2026.
Upcoming Deadlines
The GSK IMPACT Awards provide funding, training and development for charities doing excellent work to improve people’s health and wellbeing. The awards are open to registered charities that are at least three years’ old, working in a health-related field in the UK. This year is the 30th anniversary of the awards, and to mark this milestone they have increased the funding winners receive from £40,000 to £50,000. Deadline for stage one applications: 5pm on 19 August 2026.
Charities and community groups across the country are being invited to apply for a share of a £40,000 fund, launched to mark 40 years of them making ice cream on their family farm in Aberdeenshire. They will award three organisations with a £10,000 grant through an application process, while a further ten organisations will receive £1,000 donations through a staff-led selection process. Charities and community groups that support young people, strengthen communities, promote wellbeing, protect the environment or deliver vital services to those who need them most are encouraged to apply. Deadline 20 August 2026.
Battersea: Future Ready Programme
Their Grants and Programmes team offers strategic funding and support opportunities to organisations within the animal welfare sector, to advance change, through empowering local partners, so that more dogs and cats can have a better future. The Future Ready Programme offers grants of up to £200,000 over 2 years. They expect to award up to 5 grants per funding round. Open to eligible organisations across the UK working towards attaining or maintaining ADCH standards or Scottish licencing status. Deadline 24 August 2026.
Woodroffe Benton Foundation: Small Grants
The Woodroffe Benton Foundation supports UK registered charities with an annual income of less than £750,000, who have been operating for at least two years with a one-off grant of between £500 and £2,500 for projects that improve the quality of life and social engagement for people with severe physical and/or learning disabilities within the UK. Round 2 is focused on projects that support people, particularly those with physical or learning disabilities, to access the natural world and spend time outdoors. Applications will be accepted from 1 August to 31 August 2026.
