Rosa: Voices from the Front Line
Rosa’s Voices from the Frontline fund, now in its seventh year of running, offers grants of up to £10,000 over 18 months to women’s and girls’ organisations to support campaigning and influencing work that enables women and girls to use their voice to achieve change. For this round, Rosa have listed women and girl organisations in Northern Ireland as one of their priorities. The deadline for applications is 4pm on Monday 9th December. You need to submit your application form and video by this date.
Action for Women’s Health: Global Open Call
Action for Women’s Health is a $250 million global open call launched by Pivotal, a Melinda French Gates organisation, that will fund organisations around the world that are improving women’s mental and physical health. Each awardee will receive flexible funding between $1 million and $5 million USD. Interested organizations must register to apply before 4 p.m. U.S. Central Time on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Complete applications are due before 4 p.m. U.S. Central Time on Friday, January 10, 2025.
Paul Hamlyn Foundation: Arts Fund
The Foundation sees culture as the heart of a just society, where all people and communities have a right to express themselves through art and culture. As such, they want to support a portfolio of organisations to build capacity and resources for culture within historically underfunded communities, explore the role that artists can play in addressing issues of social justice, and create the infrastructure for a more equitable cultural sector. Grant Amount: £90,000 to £300,000 over 3 years. Fund is open from Monday 4 November 2024 to Friday 31 January 2025 (noon).
The7stars foundation awards grants to charities supporting young people, aged 16 years and under, across the UK. Targeted to further the potential and opportunity of children and young people who are surviving abuse, at risk of or experiencing homelessness, caring for a loved one, and challenged by addiction (either personally or through a member of their family), funding ranges from £500 up to £1,500. The next opportunity to apply for funding will be from the 1st December 2024 until the 5th February 2025 under the Shine Bright, Individual Funding, and Social Impact programmes.
Tyrone 3 Community Benefit Fund
The Community Foundation Northern Ireland has opened the Tyrone 3 Community Benefit Fund until 6 December 2024 (1pm). Set up by Energia Renewables, the Tyrone 3 Windfarms (Altamuskin, Eshmore, and Gortfinbar) provides grants up to £5,000 to local community projects run for the benefit of the local population addressing energy efficiency and sustainability, social, cultural or sporting benefits for the local community, educational issues with a sustainability angle, and environmental benefit or economic benefit. Projects must be within the 5 mile radius – as per the boundary map.
Upcoming Deadlines
The Alec Dickson Trust supports young people who through volunteering or community service, aim to enhance the lives of others, particularly those most marginalised by society. They provide grants of up to £500 to individuals or groups of young people aged 30 or under, to help them put their ideas into action and run projects that benefit the lives of others – particularly the most marginalised and disadvantaged. Deadline 13 November 2024 (5pm).
Weavers' Company Benevolent Fund
The Fund's principal aim is to support people in trouble, particularly young offenders and ex-offenders, and other disadvantaged young people. Preference is given to pump priming new projects, especially those which are innovative and can serve as a model elsewhere. Their Small Grants Programme has a cap of £5,000. Their Main Grants Programme is uncapped, but you are advised to research typical grant sizes previously made through their Charity Commission Annual Reports. Next deadline 14 November 2024 (noon).
Derry City and Strabane District Council funding
Derry City and Strabane District Council has the following funds opening soon for applications: Community Festival Fund 2025-26, Christmas Event Fund 2025-26, Headline Events Fund 2025-26, Access Programme for Cultural Organisations 2025-26, Artist & Cultural Practitioner Awards Fund 2025-26, and Heritage Animation & Visitor Servicing Programme 2025-26. Open 14 October 2024 (10:00am). Deadline 15 November 2024 (noon).
National Centre for Accessible Transport (ncat) Scaling Innovation Programme 2025
The ncat Scaling Innovation Programme 2025 is dedicated to funding those pioneering solutions that enhance transport accessibility for disabled people. Up to 15 projects will be selected, with funding of up to £150,000 available for each project. Open to organisations of any size, including SMEs, academia, Research and Technology Organisations (RTO), industry, charities, central and local government, the challenge focuses on finding solutions for overcoming physical barriers in the street environment, improved interactions between transport staff, the public and Disabled people, and an ‘open call’ for ideas to improve transport accessibility for disabled people but fall outside the two aforementioned challenges. Register and apply by 28 November 2024 (5pm).
BGF Foundation Partnership Grants 2024/25
The BGF Foundation provides multi-year, flexible funding and pro bono expertise to growing charities who support young people. They look to support charities that have plans to scale their impact and focus on charities working with young people in the areas of education, employment, enterprise, mental health, and physical wellbeing. Grants will be £100k, distributed over two years. They expect to award 4-5 grants in this round. EOI submission deadline 5pm on 29 November 2024.

This 3-hour session in NICVA aims to support those responsible for fundraising within voluntary and community organisations and who are unfamiliar with the use of Cases for Support in their work.
