Central Good Relations Fund Small Grants
The Central Good Relations Fund (CGRF) supports constituted voluntary and community sector groups to deliver good relations projects where there is evidence of identified good relations need. The Small Grants fund supports productive, time-bound projects which contribute to the promotion of good relations up to a value of £2,000. Projects can claim salaries and programme costs, but these costs must be proportional to the good relations project being delivered. Applications for small grants in 2025/26 are now open for projects to be delivered up to 31 March 2026.
Irish Youth Foundation (UK) inviting applications
The Irish Youth Foundation (UK) is inviting community and voluntary groups in Northern Ireland working with children and young people who are marginalised or at risk to apply for grants of up to £10,000 (usually in the region of £5,000). Grants can be used to extend an existing activity, to employ additional staff, to purchase equipment, to undertake an evaluation, to publish a report, to improve organisational capacity or to try something new and different. Projects in Northern Ireland should have a non-formal educational purpose/approach and contribute to good relations and inclusion within and across communities. Applications will only be considered for projects supporting under 25s in Northern Ireland. Deadline 28th July 2025.
Hope for Youth NI provide grants of up to £5000 across NI for projects providing opportunities for young people aged 11-18 to come together from different cultural, ethnic or religious communities to work together on a creative, practical or outdoors project. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a cross community emphasis e.g. a focus on improving community integration in regard to cultural, ethnic or religious diversity and all applications must include a statement of accounts, including details of income and expenditure. Closing date for Applications for 2025 is 31 August 2025
Asda Foundation: Foodbank Fundamentals
Foodbank Fundamentals is a grant specifically for organisations whose core purpose is to distribute food and alleviate food poverty in their local community. If you are a foodbank or food service provider that needs to stock up on food, invest in equipment to expand your reach, or support the delivery of your services, the Foodbank Fundamentals Fund is here to help. There is up to £400,000 worth of funding available with this grant. Grants of £750 only. Application Window Opens 15th July (10am) - until 29th July (10am) – may close earlier if demand is high.
The Honourable The Irish Society calls for applications
The Honourable The Irish Society is a grant-giving charity working for the benefit of County Londonderry / Derry and neighbouring areas. They run two grant schemes: North West Fund – the Society’s traditional programme open to community groups/clubs/associations or individuals across County Londonderry / Derry, awarding grants up to £1,000 from its own funds and on behalf of The Drapers’ Company. They welcome applications from individuals and local organisations – from amateur sports and senior citizens clubs; youth groups; community, residents, workers and health associations to schools and other educational bodies – across the entire County. Northern Ireland Fund - In association with The Clothworkers’ Foundation offering a number of grants between £1,000 and £2,000 to smaller charitable organisations elsewhere in Northern Ireland (outside County Londonderry / Derry) with an operating income below £250,000 per annum. They consider applications three times a year. The next deadline for both schemes is 29 August 2025.
Blue Light Card Foundation: Blue Light Wellbeing Fund reopening soon
The Blue Light Card Foundation supports the Blue Light community from the ambulance service, rescue workers, police, armed forces, care home workers, medical and dentistry practitioners, social workers, foster carers and many more. Their grants programme champions the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of this Community. They are particularly keen to receive applications for projects that support individuals across multiple Blue Light services, fostering collaboration and shared learning. Foundation grants up to a maximum of £25,000 can be towards running costs, projects, or equipment. Open to registered charities, CICs and CIOs; applications are considered on a quarterly basis.
GSK Community Health Programme
Running alongside the GSK IMPACT Awards, the programme supports small charities tackling health inequalities in their communities. It is open to registered charities that are at least a year old, located and working in the UK and with a total annual income between £20,000 and £150,000. Up to 10 charities will receive up to £10,000 unrestricted funding plus access to training and development valued at £5,000. Deadline for applications is 5.00pm, 11 August 2025. If your organisation’s income is above £150,000, you may be eligible to apply for the GSK IMPACT Awards (Deadline for stage one applications: 5.00pm, 20 August 2025).
Upcoming Deadlines
The Hospital Saturday Fund provides assistance for registered health charities, hospices, medical organisations and individuals with a medical condition or disability. They can provide grants for medical projects, care, research or support of medical training within the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. They offer Standard grants of up to £2,000 or €3,000 and Large grants to up to £10,000 or €13,500. Next Standard Grant deadline 9 July 2025 at 5pm.
The MSE Charity, funded by Money Saving Expert, gives grants to not for profit organisations to fund the delivery of activities that improve people's ability to become more financially capable in their present and future circumstances. Open to UK registered charities, community interest companies, credit unions or a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee or social enterprise company with between £10,000 and £600,000 per year and hold between one and six months running costs in free reserves, you can request a maximum of £10,000. Deadline to receive outline proposals is 5pm, 10 July 2025.
The Naturesave Trust May - June Funding Window is Open
The Naturesave Trust supports environmental projects across the UK. The theme for this funding window is nature connection and offers grants between £500 and £5,000. The Trust focuses on small projects for charities, social enterprises and grassroots community organisations whose activities are based within the UK. Next Application Deadline: 12pm, 10 July 2025.
Mid Ulster District Council: Irish Language Week
This grant is to support local communities deliver a range of initiatives to recognise and promote Seachtain Na Gaeilge/Irish Language Week in March 2026 in the mid Ulster area. Groups applying for grant aid must be a Mid Ulster based, constituted community or voluntary organisation with no element of personal or private gain. Evidence of good governance is required. Deadline to apply for a grant up to a maximum of £3,000 is 12pm(noon), 11July 2025.
The Fore Increases Maximum Unrestricted Grant to £45k from Autumn 2025 Round
To reflect the rising costs of living and the changing funding landscape, The Fore have announced that they will increase their maximum (unrestricted funding) grant size from £30,000 to £45,000 with effect from the Autumn 2025 funding round. The Autumn funding round opens for registrations of interest for one week from 12pm(noon) on 22nd July.
