Home Office: Transition to eVisa Fund

The Home Office (HO) will offer grant funding up to the value of £3,000,000 to provide direct support to vulnerable customers as they transition from physical immigration documents to eVisas. The Home Office plans to complete the roll-out of eVisas, which are an electronic record of immigration status accessible via GOV.UK, for most immigration products, by the end of 2024. They will be funding a wide range of civil society organisations including charities, faith organisations, social enterprises, support groups, etc., to directly support customers in accessing and maintaining their eVisa. Closing date: 19 June 2024, 12:00pm (Midday).

Parkinson's UK: Physical Activity Grants opening

A grants programme to help people with Parkinson's to become and stay active. Grants of up to £3,000 to support physical activity projects for people with Parkinson's all over the UK. They encourage projects that will reach and engage with a wide range of people with Parkinson’s, especially those who may be from the following groups: Newly diagnosed, Young onset, People and groups seen as ‘under represented’ - including socially isolated, ethnic communities or those that are not digitally connected, People who are not engaged with Parkinson’s UK, People who are inactive, or active at low levels, and People who are still working. The programme opens on Monday 3 June 2024.

Hilden Charitable Fund

Hilden Charitable Trust has announced instead of holding two funding rounds this year, there will be only one round in 2024 for their UK Programme. Applications opened at 10am on Thursday 30th May 2024 and close at 3pm sharp on Thursday 11th July 2024. Organisations can apply for up to two years' funding with grants awarded usually between £5,000 - £7,000 in value per year. ​Their two programmes are Asylum Seekers and Refugees and Penal Affairs. Open to registered charities, CIOs, CICs, and others, your total annual income as shown in your most recent accounts should be no more than £250,000.

D-Prize

Startup grants of up to $20,000 to entrepreneurs launching new organisations. They believe the world needs more social impact organisations, and they seed for-profit ventures, NGOs, and charities. And support organisations in any low-or-middle income country where extreme poverty still exists. Early submission deadline 23 June 2024 (midnight Pacific Time); Regular submission deadline 14 July 2024 (midnight Pacific time). Challenge Areas include Health, Water, Education, Agriculture, Livelihoods, Energy, Public Services, and Custom.

Art Fund: Reimagine grants

Designed to inspire creativity and increase stability and resilience in the sector, the Reimagine grants support organisations to develop or refresh their work in response to their current situation. Art Fund can provide grants of up to £50,000 for projects that are: Creative or innovative, Context-specific, Impactful, and Engaging. This year, they will only accept applications from museums and galleries that are reliant on local authority support. In 2024, there is one key aim for the Reimagine programme - they want to fund projects that will help organisations reimagine their approach to partnerships. Deadline 19 July 2024. Art Fund has a range of other funding and bursary schemes currently open.

Halifax Foundation for NI: EMPOWER Programme opening

The EMPOWER programme is open to infrastructure charities, both regional or sub-regional who support voluntary & community groups. Grants available of up to £20,000, 1-2 year grants. Eligible groups must be registered with the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland or if registered elsewhere, show that you operate in Northern Ireland. Applicants must have at least one year of annual returns published on Charity Commission NI website. Applications must be strategic/transformational in nature. Projects must not duplicate activities supported by or the responsibility of government departments. EMPOWER opens for applications on Monday 3rd June and closes on Friday 28th June 2024 at 12noon. Awards will be made in August, with a start date of September 2024.

Resuscitation Council UK: Community Grant Scheme

As part of their Restart a Heart 2024 campaign, grants of up to £1,500 are available for small charities and community groups to help educate people about CPR and how to use a defib. Open to small charities (with an annual income of less than £500,000) and community groups including community interest companies (CICs) and faith groups. Priority will be given to charities and organisations working in geographical areas with low bystander CPR and high rates of cardiac arrest and/or working with communities experiencing inequalities in resuscitation. Priority will also be given to applications which clearly demonstrate how the project is tailored to meet the language, cultural, and educational needs of participants. Deadline 28 June 2024 (5pm).

The Theatres Trust: UK Theatres Small Grants Programme

Theatres Trust's Small Grants Programme, supported by The Linbury Trust, funds small projects that make a big impact to a theatre’s resilience, sustainability, accessibility, or diversity. This new scheme will provide grants of up to £5,000 for essential works to enable not-for-profit theatres across the UK to be viable and thrive in the future. Next deadline 7 June 2024 (noon).

The Fermanagh Trust: Slieve Rushen Wind Farm Fund

The Slieve Rushen Community Wind Farm Fund Awards 2024/2025 is organised by The Fermanagh Trust. Mantlin Ltd will donate £50,000 a year to the Fermanagh Trust to support community and voluntary organisations/projects which are not politically affiliated and which are located within a 12 km radius of the Slieve Rushen Wind farm. Deadline 7 June 2024 (noon).

Ards & North Down Borough Council: Christmas Festival Fund

The purpose of the fund is to enable communities to run local festivals to celebrate the festive period and the switching on of Christmas lights. The Christmas fund is restricted to constituted community groups in towns and villages listed (see scheme for details). Applications will be open once a year with the opportunity to apply for up to £1000 for Villages and £3000 for towns subject to funds being available. Deadline 10 June 2024 (noon).

Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation

Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation makes donations of up to £1,000 to UK registered charities. As of July 2022, they shifted their focus to supporting those in need of a safe and secure home. For their small grants, they only accept requests to fund capital expenditure for the purchase of items used to directly help those in need, rather than contributing to a charity's running costs. Applicants must be UK registered charities with a turnover of less than £1 million. Deadline 10 June 2024.

The Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund: Major Capital Grants Programme

This programme will award grants of between £75,000 and £500,000 towards projects that support significant refurbishment, including extensions and new builds, of rental accommodation that will offer high quality support for Veterans with a housing need. Round 2 deadline 17 June 2024 (5pm); round 3 and 4 deadlines are in January and June 2025.
