Biffa Award 2024 Partnership Grants Scheme

Biffa Award is currently accepting Expressions of Interest to its 2024 Partnership Grants Scheme for up to £1,00,000. Applications can now be submitted for both the Built Environment and Natural Environment themes. Built Environment projects should restore, modernise and/or improve facilities such as cultural, heritage or visitor centres. The facility should be inclusive and promote learning, curiosity, and participation to large numbers of visitors on a national scale. Natural Environment projects should restore and/or improve the environment and the natural systems or habitats that support it. Projects should be working to Biodiversity 2020: A Strategy for England’s Wildlife and Ecosystem Services, its predecessor, or a Local Biodiversity Action Plan. EOIs submission deadline 31 May 2024 (noon).

The Fore funding rounds 2024

The Fore fund small charities that make a big impact. They offer unrestricted funding up to £30,000 to help applicants grow, strengthen, become more efficient or resilient. Open to registered charities, CIOs, CICs limited by guarantee, or Community Benefit Societies with an annual revenue of less that £500k. To apply, you must first register when the round is open. Registration for Summer 2024 opens 28 March 2024 (noon) and closes 4 April 2024 (noon). Registration for Autumn 2024 opens 24 July 2024 (noon) and closes 31 July 2024 (noon).

St Andrews Prize for the Environment 2024 now open

The University of St Andrews has launched its annual global Prize for the Environment awarding winners with a solution to protecting the environment and encouraging a sustainable society $100,000. The St Andrews Prize welcomes applications from individuals and organisations (including community groups) who lead projects that protect the environment or contribute to its sustainable development. Projects must be related to sustainable development or biodiversity and be aligned with the UN Goals for Sustainable Development. Three projects will be selected to participate in the St Andrews Prize for the Environment final, which will take place at the University of St Andrews from 30-31 October. Finalists must be present in St Andrews from 29 October - 1 November 2024 to participate in the proceedings in person. Deadline for entries is Friday 12 April 2024.

Charities Aid Foundation: Venturesome Impact Fund

Their social investment fund supports organisations all over the UK, irrespective of cause area or geography. This is in line with their mission to support a fair and sustainable future for all.  They have launched the fund with £10 million of philanthropic capital and they’re aiming to increase the size of the fund to £20 million, thanks to their generous clients. Social investment loan from your CAF Charitable Trust (repayable in 6 or 12 years): Minimum £20,000, Maximum £2,000,000. Management fees apply. Or Social investment grant from your CAF Charitable Trust or CAF Charity Account (non-repayable): Minimum £1,000. No maximum. Grant administration charge.

TPXimpact: FUTURE LEADERS 2024

TPXimpact is a digital transformation company supporting organisations to build a better future for people, places and the planet. The Future Leaders programme supports young entrepreneurs from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds to build the skills and network they need to grow successful businesses. For their 2024 cohort, they’re looking for aspiring business owners: with a digital product or service offering, from an ethnically diverse or lower socioeconomic background, or a person with a disability, and is between the ages of 21-30. This year, they are specifically interested in supporting businesses that are improving public services with a focus on accessibility, digital inclusion, or sustainability. Successful applicants receive 1:1, skills training, become part of a network, and financial support to participate of £3000 paid in monthly instalments of £3500.

Foras na Gaeilge Grants: Summer Camp Scheme

Foras na Gaeilge is providing funding (max. €2,500 / £1,750) for appropriate Summer Camps through Irish for young people (3 to 18 years of age): which aim to strengthen the Irish language through a mix of activities; that are not residential camps; which will last 5 days; which will run between 24 June and 30 August 2024; and which will last at least 4.5 hours each day. This is a nonprofit scheme to keep the camp fees low for the young people. Foras na Gaeilge recommends to applicants to seek joint funding for projects, when appropriate, and to cooperate with other organisations in order to achieve the best value from the Foras na Gaeilge grant. They particularly welcome applications from organisations located in areas recognised in Government strategies or legislation. Deadline 28 March 2024 (5pm).

PEACE PLUS 2021-27: Investment Area 5.1 - Biodiversity, Nature Recovery and Resilience

The Biodiversity, Nature Recovery and Resilience Programme will promote cross border co-operation to facilitate the recovery of selected habitats and species across the Programme Area. The specific objective of this funding call is to promote enhanced protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reduction in all forms of pollution. It will result in an increase in the surface area of selected habitats and habitats for species in improving conditions that create a more cohesive society through an increased provision of community spaces, key services and supports in rural areas.  €40m is available in this call.  Applications to this call must be received no later than 5pm on 28 March 2024.

Belfast Harbour Community Awards

Grants of up to £5,000 will be available for charities, volunteering organisations and community groups delivering activity positively impacting the environment, education and skills and bringing the community together. £100,000 will be available for grass-roots organisations across Northern Ireland in 2024. First round deadline 29 March 2024.

The Fat Beehive Foundation: Digital Funding for Small Charities

They fund charities with an average income of less than £400,000 a year providing highly specialised grants up to £2500. They provide highly specialised grants up to £2,500 for websites and digital products to other small UK registered charities. Their funding priorities for Quarter 1 is Social Justice/Refugees/Housing. Deadline 29 March 2024 (5pm).

EANI: Planned Interventions Programme

Funding is made available for the delivery of the Planned Intervention programme by The Executive Office (TEO). The fund is designed specifically to enable organisations to work with young people (aged 9-25 years) living in interface areas or locations where there is the potential of heightened social unrest, or in those areas experiencing inter or intra community violence, at key times such as evenings and weekends.  Delivery period is 1st June 2024 until 7th November 2024. Each successful application will receive a maximum of £6,000. Deadline 10 April 2024 (4pm).
